So is it worth my time saving anybody? Do you have to bring them all back to the security room if I do want to save them?
So far this game really kinda shocks me on how dark it is. I totally thought it was a comedy but damn, some of the crazy shit that happens is awesome. Anyone watch the little movie if you let the title screen sit? Pretty cool.
To get the best ending you just have to make sure you don't miss any of the CASES; to get the second best ending you have to get most of the CASES done and rescue some ammount of people. The thing is, the only thing that unlocks new shit for you is the best ending, and since the guide says it's hard to save people on a first playthrough since you're so slow and weak, I'm not bothering with it until another go through.
I just wonder if I can save someone one game and have it count between games? Atleast in terms of saving all 50 people for the achievement. Do I have to do it in one run through or can I save people at random through multiple playthroughs but just so long as they all get saved in on or another I get the credit?
Yeah, I can read the text on my SDTV, but it is definitely too small. I sit relatively close to the TV, too (about 4 feet away).
As for the escort missions, the NPCs are dumb as hell, yes, but there are a few things you can do to make it easier. The easiest way is to simply hold their hand or give them a piggy back ride, but that only works if you're escorting one person. If you're escorting multiple, you should call them to follow you pretty much constantly, so they don't engage zombies or act dumb and wait around to be eaten. As for the problem you had Brett, you can force the NPCs to move to any position you want manually by holding the right trigger and pressing Y anywhere on the ground. That should fix situations like that, if you encounter them again.
And saving people is only worth your time if you care about achievements. Some of the achievements depend on how many people you save, but the game is made to be played through at least 2-3 times, as far as I can tell. It would probably be much easier to attempt the harder survivor achievements after a full playthrough or two, when you've got your character to level 50.
Anyway, so far the game is definitely frustrating in the first playthrough, but after you finish the game the first time you unlock the 7 day mode (and then the unlimited time mode), and you get to bring your stats over, so I think the second playthrough is where you'll actually be whoop whooping on Dead Rising's shit.

I don't have it as bad as you, but I can't play till 10pm tomorrow night. I had the game pre-ordered at work, and they didn't have it in yet when I got off my other job, and I wasn't about to drive 30 min to my EB and then 30 min back home for this game when gas is so damn high. If you notice the sizes of the different profiles are different... usually the more games you have saved under it, the bigger it is... so I'd assume you could just use a different profile to make multiple saves for this game.Quote:
