So I got to the guy you fight at the end of overtime mode. He kicked my ass. I tried to fight him again, and he kicked my ass again. I think I may level up and come back and fight him later.
If you aren't over level 30 don't even bother.
I'm workingon my Frank the pimp achievement but my simple plan fell through when I never got the call about the two girls in the entrance plaza; it might be becuase I never did the second case and as such the gate from paradise is still closed. I'm not sure.
There's still about 6 or 7 girls I can wait to save though, and I only need one, so I'm going to hang out in the bathroom at Wonderland until I get a call about someone.
Turns out you won't get calls on new survivors if saving them would cause you to have more than 8. That's why I didn't get the call on the girl and her friend or the movie theatre. I also won't get the call about the long haired guy unless I kill off one of my girls.
I'm thinking I'll just wait until that old lady shows up on the soccer ball and save her. If that doesn't work out well I'll load up my save from a little earlier and kill some of these chicks.
I fought that guy three times and kicked his ass all three times. Also, the tank is one of the easiest objectives in the game, I've never even been hurt by it.
Tank Tips: Shoot the lights until the tracking sensor on the top pops up, then shoot it. You'll know you're hitting either of them becuase flames will be shooting out as you do. This tactic keeps it from firing it's main cannon. When it fires droids or missles, shoot those out of the air. It's simple.
Brock Tips: Stand above or below him on the tank at all times, never at his level; really though you want to be below him. The simple way to do this is to stay below him doing double lariats or jump kicks until he decides to come down to your level. Then all you have to do is go to the upper level (where you can still jump kick him if you time it right) and wait for him to come up so you can go back down. If you're crafty you can get through the whole fight without taking damage with this technique.
As a side note I found a list of all the clothing items in the mall and I'm going to go knock them all out so Iget clothing horse.
Merged Post: That list was really helpful. It only took me about 10 or 15 minutes to follow it to all the items I didn't remember wearing and get my achievement.
I'm going for 7 days again.
This time I know that cooked food never goes bad and I have all three books. Which means even I should be able to survive until about day 4 or 5 on just the food lying around the mall. If I play it smart and go after survivors and bosses only when I can easily take them I should be ok.
First up is adam with a few Uzi's from Paradise Plaza. Then I'm going to go kill all the snipers and take their Pizzas. Word on the street is those three pizzas can damn near get you through a whole day since they recover all of your health blocks with the three books.
Man, with the three books, this is really just a waiting game. I have a full inventory right now and everything is either something that will heal me for 12 blocks or the books. I'm also standing next to a coffee creamer I'm waiting to pick up when I can use one of the food items I'm already carrying.
Based on my understanding of how time and health pass in this mode, and seeing as how I'm 17 hours into day one right now, I think it'll be day three before I have to eat something that isn't currently in my inventory. Which means I will be spending HOURS inside this theatre.
The good news is it takes almost 20 minutes to lose all your health so I can easily watch TV and browse the internet while I do this.
Final note: the lightsaber better be fucking incredible.
UPDATE:
I was three days in with (according to a list I found in a FAQ) over half the available food still in the mall (which doesn't include the days worth in my inventory) and my 360 locked up. I really want to survive seven days, but without a save system in place, it looks like technology isn't going to allow it.
Here's hoping for a much needed patch of sorts.
I think I am going to wait for the inevitable PS3 port to try some of the crazy challenges. The 360 is just not capable of avoiding DREs long enough to make the risk worthwhile.
