Yeah, I think everyone started out just killing a shit-ton of zombies for fun.

Just remember it's total videogame logic; bring some food and it doesn't matter how often you get hit. Once your inventory gets bigger the game opens up. Rescue people for huge PP bonuses.

When escorting survivors, give them whatever is around for weapons if they can carry them. Use the hold R + Y waypoints more than the FOLLOW ME FOLLOW ME HEY LISTEN method, even the shittiest escort will defend a position decently with the waypoints. Give them food to recharge their health to full if they get too hurt, all survivors can take a shit ton of damage. It doesn't matter if some die, there's plenty around. I got to level 39 in my first full play through just by rescuing people, then hit 50 running over zombies to get the Mega Buster.

As for weapons, until you have enough inventory to use Adam's mini-chainsaws + 2-3 books (depending on how much room you currently have) you can break apart mannequins and use mannequin torsos. Dave tipped me off to them and they're damn good.

Shotgun or SMG the prisoners. Stick to the tree's for cover. They'll usually run in to it and you can get some cheap shots in. There's a shotgun at the very beginning when one of the people in the Entrance Plaza dies. His corpse is swarmed by zombies so get a bat and clean house. It's behind the stairs to the right (facing the main doors).

Don't worry about your health that much because you'll be able to drink shit in the security room to replenish it anyway. It also helps to trek to the gun shop in north plaza while it's still day light out. I had about 5 shotguns on me when I fought the prisoners.

Don't get killed just to restart and up levels. You might as well try to get as much PP as you can by rescuing people on your first playthrough. Killing the clown (Adam) in the Wonderland Plaza gives you the mini-chainsaws everyone raves about.

The boss battles are easy, but avoid those convicts, especially at the lower levels. Just run through, carry or hold someone's hand through it, whatever. If you have 2-3 people they might kill one of them, but it's ok. You're gonna lose survivors when you're playing the game without cheesing the fuck out of it at level 50, so don't worry about it. Watching people die is part of the fun.

Once you're ready to be cheap, get the three books everyone talks about: 2 are in the bookstore under the coffee place in Paradise, and one is in the 2nd floor at Wonderland close to the Adam fight, where you find the Japanese tourists. Each book (Engineering, Entertainment, and Criminal something or other) increase the lifespan of certain weapons by 3x its normal span... and they all affect Adam's mini-chainsaws. That means a single mini with all three books will last for approx. 27x the usual amount (about 4000 zombie kills) and can wreck almost any boss at level 50 with two to three swipes. Some people will try to talk shit about hedge clippers or whatever, who cares.

The convicts in the jeep are kind of a fluke, nothing else in the game is ever as hard. Just run for now. It's all pretty easy, if you're stuck at a boss or something I guess you can ask here but it just means you suck.

You can only get creamer in the security room on the first night. The best places to stock up, food-wise, which never run out are:

#1) easily the food court, the bar to the left of the park entrance has tons of wine bottles that heal 5 blocks a piece. With the Hatchet Man book that's 10 blocks, almost a full heal every bottle.

#2) for me, the OJ cooler in the coffee place in Paradise, where you meet the Cut From the Same Cloth camera guy.

You can fuck around with trying to get the convicts stuck on a tree to kill them, but unless you destroy the car to the point where you can't drive it (make sure you do first for the achievement) they'll respawn the next day, lol at you =( Hell, they might even if you destroy the car. At level 50 with a mini-chainsaw they're a joke, so it doesn't even matter.

The uber cheese way to ruin the game is to do a zombie genocide run first, and then use the Mega Blaster you get for that to blow through everything in the game. That's no fun, though.

The hedge clippers are useful in two spots: Fighting the convicts and fighting Carlitio in the truck. They have better range than the minichainsaws. As for fighting Adam to get the minichainsaws, I usually use a katana from the weapon store near the supermarket or on the awning outside the Roastmasters in Paradise.

Mzo, how do you talk about food and not mention the supermarket in North Plaza? :p Seriously though, the OJ stand in Colombian Roastmasters and the wine in the food court is all you ever should need.

The convicts will respawn, even if you destroy their jeep... sometimes. Every time I have destoryed the jeep on day one, they come back on day three (but are missing for the next two nights, wtf).

Dump 2 OJ into the blender in the coffee shop to get a Nectar. It makes queens hang around you if there's any present and also has major healing. It's about as useful as a food product can get.

The best way to score a fuck ton of PP is to go do a genocider run or just stick to saving people.

At level 50 you can kill carlito bare handed without too much effort if you're good with hand to hand. As a top three finisher in a semi-national MK skills tournament you should be able to handle it.

Technically the well-done steak is better in terms of healing.

If you want a really helpful drink put wine and oj in a blender. You'll get a quick step and if you have atleast one healing book on you it'll pretty much fully heal you until you max out your health. The bonus? If you're using it in a boss fight it'll give you increased speed which you can use to get away from who you're fighting quickly, which means you'll have a second to compose yourself and so forth.

Don's listen to this man. Go get a ton of Uzi's from above the warehouse exit in paradise plaza. Just go to the stairs and jump onto the side of the blue covers and run across them until you come to it. Now take those to adam and keep your distance, when he blows up a balloon shoot it right before it's full (for maximum effect) and this will stun him. Then unload a few rounds into his head and repeat. The mini chainsaws and three books are the only weapons you'll need for the rest of the game.

Hedge clippers are for punk asses who can't compete. Believe that news.

Hedge clippers are only good when trimming your mom's bush. IMO.

Just remember that if you're going to melee Adam, only hit him when you get a window after he does a move or when he's making a balloon. Anything else will result in a chainsaw block that'll destroy whatever item you're swinging.
