Video Game Print Ads

I was flipping through an old issue of EGM (October 2000) today and came across this old ad. I remember finding it hilarious then, and I think it works even better now with the popularity of things like Iron Chef and Most Extreme Elimination Challenge.

What other video print ads did you like? I don't really look through magazines much anymore, but I can't think of anything in recent years that's half as cool as some of the great ads from my younger years. Sony's "If you still want a Saturn, your head's in Uranus" was pretty memorable. I'm sure everyone has their favorites.

My favorite was the Neo-Geo weenie ad.

I've seen this ad, as well as an earlier version that said "Why dick around" instead of "Why fool around". :lol:

Another of my favorites is the Fox Sports Golf ad that says "Easier on your home than the real thing". The guy has to take a shot from the cat's litterbox- with the cat in it, who looks not too happy after apparently getting it with the golf club.

Benny Moto is indeed awesome.

I loved the Gaiares one with the gaming champ mullet guy.

But the best one ever has to be "Daniel Pesina has switched to Bloodstorm!" I've been looking for that one forever.

I can't believe the "Got Milk?" campaign is that old. Obviously, it's quite old if they were spoofing it in the Sega CD era.

My all time fav is probably the Phantasy Star SMS ad on the matte white background, but I couldn't find an image and I have those mags buried away.

My favorite print ad is pretty hard to find. It's the UK ad for the first Resident Evil. It's an overhead shot of a bathtub on a black and white checkered floor. The tub is full of blood and bloody footprints lead away from the tub. Anyone have this ad?
