I never liked KI. But bringing that series back in 3D, ala Mortal Kombat, should have been done years ago.

just curious, do you remember who it was?Quote:

This is also why online is nice, because if something like VF could be online, I'd actually have people to play against (but that point has been brought up before).
But it WAS 3D.. ULTRA 64!! hehe.. Seriously though, I think KI2 was nowhere near as popular as the first (at least around here anyway), so a sequel was never worked on. I never played much KI2 outside of Gold for N64 (if that counts) and it just didn't feel the same since it felt like you actually had more control over what you did! :)Quote:

After the game you would be asked if you wanted to chat with the other person. If both said yes, you were brought to a chat room with just you and the other person. With practice you could type with the controller pretty fast. That's the only communication you had. If no one was found right away, you would wait until another person was looking for a game. Your phone would ring, xband would pick up and then connect you to each other.Quote:

If I remember correctly, the KI games made use of a hard drive to display a lot of the CGI effects of the game. A lot of the 3D backgrounds were simply FMV moving in forward and reverse. Unless they re-tool the game (like substantially compressing the game, or maybe keeping the character models and make the CGI effects real-time; I'm sure the XB360 won' t come close to breaking a sweat) the game would end up being several hundred megs, breaking their 64mb limit or course.Quote:

Xband was completely awesome. I had the Xband Keyboard too, which was incredible even though no one else had it and most of the time people would just type, slowly, "please stop going so fast."Quote:

so when exactly are these games arriving? Hell, when is Street Fighter suppose to be up?
This is the only XBLA question that matters.Quote:

It looks like someone has purchased the Xband.com domain and is in the process of setting up forums for use.
A bunch of former XBers are up on MySpace at the following group:
