What the hell is my problem lately? When I rent/buy certain games (usually RPGs), when I first play it, my interest SPIKES.. I mean, I play it 5-6 hours in a row.. About 2-3 days later, my interest takes a nosedive. It happened for Paper Mario 2 (stopped playing on the train section), and now it looks like it's happening for Grandia III.

Maybe you're done with them. It happneed to me a while ago.
You'll soon find it to be the most liberating moment of your life. Hopefully you'll be able to sell off all of that shit and break even.
The same thing has been happening to me lately. I have started to be much more critical of the games I buy as well. Due to this, I have never sold or traded as many games as I have this past year. I used to hang on to the crappy games I would buy, but now if I get bored with a game after a couple hours I just sell it or trade it. The latest tragedy seems to be "Tales of Legendia". I liked it for about 4 hours and now I am completely bored with it. I think I am going to end up selling it because I would rather play Shadow Hearts 3, Onimusha 4, or Kingdom Hearts 2.
I used to be an RPG nut, now I dont play them anymore because they are a waste of 50 hours of your life.
I think Grandia III might snag me for awhile. Can't say I like the story all that much, but the battle system is excellent enough to keep me interested. I hope Shadowhearts 3 turns out good.
I am slowly beginning to feel this way as well. Most of the RPG's this generation have been fairly "Blah" and a waste of time. The only RPG's I have played, since the Dreamcast that I have truly enjoyed are:Quote:

Some of the games that just completely sucked the life out of the RPG genre for me this generation are:
Xenosaga, Star Ocean 3, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Suikoden 4, and most of the other generic J-RPG's that have been coming out....sadly both Grandia 3 and Tales of Legendia are starting to seem like wastes of time right now.
Digital Devil Saga and Nocturne are awesome.....
