So I need 2 17' flat panels, and I need to be able to remove the base stand on them, and they need to be pretty cheap if possible. Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

dell, nothing else.
Are the likes of Samsung or LG no good?
if you're wanting quality displays heed what i already said.
I just got a 2005FPW, its sick as hell, highly recommended.
The Gateway 20" is supposed to be good as well, and it has HDCP support if you care about that.
I'm wildly happy with my Gateway 20". But it's neither cheap, nor is it a pair of 17" screens.
Is this for work, or for video games?
I'm in the process of buying a new monitor myself. Price wise, I'm mainly looking at 17". I know Dell are really good, but I'm also trying to look at some other things. I'm looking at Best Buy because I have a lot of credit there that I could use to help pay for it.
One of the LCD monitors I saw there was an LG. Some of the specs were as follow.
Response Time: 8ms
Contrast Ratio: 700:1
Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Brightness: 300 cd/m2 although it might have been 250, can't remember if I am thinking of the right one.
Dot Pitch: 264mm
The monitor looked pretty nice and also had a $110 rebate taking it from $389.99 to $279.99.
Why pay $280 for a 17" monitor El Capitan?
You can get a 19" Samsung 8ms monitor now for like $250.
And in general I would go for a 19" rather than a 17" as they only cost around $50 than their counterparts (same brand, same response), which is totally worth it. After 19" though prices become stupidly high.
Yeah, I know they are only 50 bucks higher or so, but I really don't want to spend more than $300 if I can help it. ANd after looking at the 17" it didn't really seem that bad. I was unable to ask anyone for info on different monitors as the place was really busy, but I may go back tonight to see if I can get some answers. I did get a $216 dividen from REI that I can exchange for cash in June, so I can always put that towards my computer, so I may just decide to splurge and get a 20.1" or 21" I saw there that was around $450 or $500.Quote:
