So about a month ago, my 7 year old goldfish (that started as a feeder), his eye developed a big sac of fluid around it.
Tried an all around fish medicine and it seemed to get better. In the first few pics its about 1/3 of the original size, it was really massive and covered the eye top/bottom before the medicine:

Well a couple of days ago, he was hiding in the corner, and there was a big blob in the bottom of the tank, i pulled it out with a glove and it dissolved in my hand into this:

BTW, I keep the tank clean and use additives on a regular basis. Water is yellow because of the medication, and in the last couple of pics that's his dinner floating around.
Gross, and so sad.
Bummer. On the bright side of things, by this point he can't even remember having another eye, so I'm sure its all good.
