Beau on a Wendy's run.
What did you get him?
Nothing, he just went along for the ride. He didn't bark at the drive thru chick, which was surprising.
My girlfriend has become deadset on adopting this dog:

Evie, the bluetick coonhound.
We live in a largeish studio, so I think it's a bad idea. But I don't think there's anything I can do to stop the tide at this point. Besides, it looks like this dog needs rescuing for all the bad design choices of her current house:

Look at that goddamn couch!
That dog, while adorable, is going to ruin your apartment.
LOOK, I KNOW
Cute dog, but a couple living in a studio means no room/privacy whatsoever.
I've brought up that point as well. Her solution is "We'll put her in the bathroom."
Right.
Uh huh.
I don't know how many more times I can say "no" to this. Her dog died over the summer and she's been so bummed out about not having a dog. I mean honestly, if we had a bigger place I would be all for this, but we don't, so I'm not. My mother has a beagle that she got when it was super young, so I know what a destructive hard headed hurricane nightmare hounds can be with their adorable eyebrows and droopy, floppy goddamn ears.
