So the dog thing fell through for obvious reasons (Evie was adopted, girlfriend sort of accepted our circumstances). But today she went out and got a Maine Coon Cat from one of those adoption vans.
Very pretty cat, but really timid which is why I think my girlfriend was attracted to her. I'll post pictures once we coax her out from under the bed.
I had a maine coon cat before I moved out to Illinois. Thing was timid as fuck, then would fly off the handle and freak out if anyone other than me tried to touch it.
I loved Wicket, she was crazy.

Cat started exploring the place and is becoming rather friendly. I've never owned a cat, but this one seems pretty legit. We don't know what to name it though. We're thinking Gypsy.

We picked her out over the cats that were more social because she was huddled in the back of her cage and dug under her newspaper to hide. She was super not happy.
