Well, as he's now one year old (still a little boy), it was time to finally move Scooter up to bigger food. He ate his first adult mouse tonight, which was about 3x the size of the fuzzy mice I'd been feeding him. Seeing him get something that big down was truly an amazing sight- it took him about an hour, but the little guy did it. He'll probably get a nice little growth spurt from eating from this one huge meal alone, which will probably make the next one easier to eat.
And in case anyone was wondering, it was a frozen mouse, not a live one. I'd never feed him a live mouse, which would be cruel to the mouse and possibly dangerous to Scooter if it started biting and scratching.
Here's some pics for you to enjoy. :)
Scoot Money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that guy.
Here's what Linda does every day:

Scooter is still amazing, and that is an awesome picture of one chilled-out dog. I'm jealous.
She spends half her time burrowing underneath that blanket, deciding she doesn't like where she ended up, exiting the blanket and reburrowing. It's mighty cute. Especially if the other two dogs are laying on it already.
I bet that was pretty amazing to watch Dolemite, I'm glad the mouse was frozen...I think I would be terribly sad if I had to watch a little critter being eaten. I knew a guy who fed his snake live baby chicks. :(
And good thinking with with the possibility of the mouse harming Scooter, I once knew a person who put a mouse in their snakes tank and then walked away. I think the tank light may have gone out, because the temperature dropped to where the snake couldn't move and ended up being killed by the mouse. I don't think many people consider that type of thing.
That's very true. The mouse could bite the snake's eyes out and such.
Rated E, live baby chicks!? Really? That's just a little sadistic.
I had all manner of pythons, boa constrictors and monitor lizards, plus an alligator and I fed them all live stuff.
Mice and gerbils for the small snakes and monitors. Rats, chicks/chickens, rabbits etc for the big daddy snakes and lots and lots of goldfish for the gator. They all like live shit way better and will eat it every day (which is not good for these types of reptiles but I'm just sayin') as opposed to that frozen stuff that they'd either ignore or have to be starved out for a month to choke down.
I never had a cornsnake though so maybe Scootytang really likes it.
Haha, that's awesome. Our old dog used to burrow into the loveseat cushions and make all these pig-like grunting noises. She was a truffle hound though, so she burrowed and dug into everything. Absolutely destroyed that loveseat. She broke through the fabric and burrowed into the pillow itself once (we sat down and heard a yelp from under us) and then she got into the frame of the thing, too. Dog was a monster.
My ex-girlfriend's dad had a Tegu who fucking brutalized some mice. Picked one up by its head and smashed it against the glass until blood splattered everywhere Braveheart style. It was one of the most awesome things I have ever seen.
