This is Remy, my gf's sister's new dog. (they live together, I am basically the third roommate so I am claiming ownership. He loves me best anyway :P)
He's the cutest little guy. These were taken at the shelter the day before we adopted him. His whole coat was matted and we had to cut all the mats out ourselves, so his body looks like it was shaved now, but he still has the fuzzy head and legs.
Under all that fur he only weighs 8 lbs.
Eeew. I could never feed Scooter live prey.
Interesting. Yes, that's possible, I guess.Quote:
And good thinking with with the possibility of the mouse harming Scooter, I once knew a person who put a mouse in their snakes tank and then walked away. I think the tank light may have gone out, because the temperature dropped to where the snake couldn't move and ended up being killed by the mouse. I don't think many people consider that type of thing.
Oh, he loves them. I have a big metal serving plate I feed him on- I just stick Scoot on one end and the fuzzy on the other and he just homes right in on it and clamps onto its face. Occasionaly, he'll grab its tummy by accident so he has to work his way around to the head (all while not actually letting go- instinct, I guess, so it can't esacpe), although once he worked his way around to the fuzzy's butt and started swallowing it that way. :)
I made a short film out of the first time Scooter ate a fuzzy mouse. I really should post it sometime.
At this one fighting forum somebody put the owner's head on the girl dog. It was LOL. It's pretty much LOL, just as it is though.
One of my friends had a wild snake that we fed mostly frozen mice. Live mice is amazing to see, right out of National Geographic. Nature in all it's glory.
I've got video on VHS of a couple of my snakes eating live critters. If I ever transfer it to usable modern media you lot will be the first to know.
Some recent pictures of the kitty. I didn't put the flash on because he gets all squinty and makes faces. The first pic is his impersonation of the Good Fortune cat. In the second, he's giving me his signature adoring look, and the last is just the possum pose and his way of saying "Stop taking pictures of me."
You should bring Siro to the SD meet up.
Siro would completely spaz out in the car, and it'd be like taking a baby along. -100% Fun.
