I bought a mouse today on a whim. It was 99 cents. I asked the lady for a mouse and figured she'd give me one of the grown active ones, but when I got home and looked in the box it was a little shaking baby that couldn't open its eyes yet.

Ack.

I hope it will be chill. I know it was supposed to just be snake food, but I wanted a buddy. I've tried feeding it milk out of a little plastic syringe, but I don't know how much it liked that. It doesn't seem to take to solid food yet. We'll see how it goes.

Don't start feeding the baby mouse random things on a whim. It's a life, and you're now responsible for taking proper care of it. You really should have done some research on mice before buying one. Look up some info on them and find out how you should raise the little fella. Watching him grow up will be a treat.

I've had mice several times before, and I do know how to take care of them-- but I wasn't expecting to get a baby that couldn't even eat yet. I did look it up on the internet as soon as I got home, and the general opinion seemed to be that if it wouldn't eat solid food to feed it warm milk out of a little plastic syringe, or bread soaked in warm milk, so that's what I've been trying to do.

Kitten formula was the other thing that people were recommending, but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get some of that.
