The reason I wasn't around is my computer broke around the same time I was buying a car (Honda CR-V) and the parts in it weren't worth salvageing for another PC. Effectively, I pretty much had to take care of other things with my limited financial resource (ok, if I drank less I would have had one in a month after the original broke). Anyhow, I kept putting off buying one because I didn't want to spend a little money on a crappy computer, nor did I have a lot of money to buy something I really wanted. Fortuneatly, my little brother asked if I would build him a PC for school (he attends Texas Tech). I did and made a very nice one. 2 months later it "breaks." As of today he's back visiting for spring break and he brought it back to me to fix. A jumper had been pulled off the HDD it seems, an easy fix. My brother had in the intervening time bought a G4 Powerbook and is much more comfortable with a Mac. Thus, he's leaving this one behind. Thank goodness for immaturity with Credit and Credit Card companies for villianously targeting college students for $10,000 credit limit cards.

In the meantime I went to Atlanta with IronPlant to see ProgPower USA, I'm sure there are impressions here somewhere. A great many things can be mentioned of it.

I did the annual Renfest thing with Station and I THOUGHT others would be ready but only our pal Greg made it for this last one. Kinda disappointing, but here's to this year being better.

I was fired from one of my jobs for missing a day I didn't know I was supposed to work. Six years there and I get fired for being absent for, effectivly, 3 hours. That's some busta-ass-shit. Another reason why it was harder for me to rejoin my miserable internet addiction.

My 25 birthday came and went, the only fanfare being a lowering of insurance rates (78 bones a month! fuck yeah) and a few really agonizing dates with a super annoying girl... you know, the kinds that are named Catherine but call themselves Kat? Yeah. Pretty dire.

I did NOT attend any other shows, besides a Henry Rollins spoken word show. I found out that they sell Shiner in cans then. I was terrified, but I tried it. Not terrible, certianly not good though. I'll stick with the bottles or draught.

About beer, my new favorite is Erdiner Hefeweizen. Hefeweizen is just fun to say, and its a beer you can drink at anytime... except after brushing your teeth.

I got sick for 2 weeks with a racking cough that kept me up nights. I was perscribed a super strong cough syrup which, before knocking you out, provides a sensation that leads me to belive that without a doctors perscription one could get arrested on narcotics charges just for possessing it. And yes I still have some.

Other than those things and a lot of small incidental stuff that tends to happen day in and day out I did little to nothing diffrent. The plus of not having a computer was I read a ton of books I wanted to read. The drawback was the alchoholism. If anyone said I was bad before they should have seen me... hell.. seen me last week. Boredom moreorless drove me to do things I regret. Many things I won't likely get into.

This is sad news. Morbid Angel with Krisiun and Behemoth is coming around your way soon. Arsis and Necrophagist is this month I believe, I know both tours are going to Houston.
