Man, that last story really sucks. I was thinking when I finally move out again, I'd get a random roomate. I can see from these stories it's like playing russian roulette. Looks like when I move out, it'll have to be alone like last time.

The moral of the story is "security deposit." Nice people get fucked.
That fucking sucks Frog. Jeez.
yeah I know from experience
NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER LEND MONEY TO FRIENDS
those fuck asses
I let one of my friends at work borrow some money he needed
I knew the guy for 4 years, cool guy
I thought what harm would it do...
8+ months later & that ass shit faced monkey still hasn't paid me back in full yet
Frog, I know how you feel. I went through something very similar a few years back, and fear I may be about to go through something like it again (with my brother no less). The only thing I can say is, do what you can to get your money back, but don't carry the anger at getting dicked over like that around, because no good can really come of it. I know I spent a lot of time letting it fuck with me, and to no end. Just move on and write it off as a cost of learning.
It's not that he just couldn't or wouldn't pay me. He deliberately scammed me, and skipped town. Robbed me like I was a complete stranger. If he just said "Hey, I can't pay you" at the beginning of the month so I would have time to find someone to pick up the rent, it wouldn't be nearly so bad. But that's a real scumbag maneuver that he pulled.Quote:
