It happened years ago, and I don't think it was as serious as it could have been.
AFAIK, she didn't have any permanent damage, aside from the scars.
I imagine the seat slowed the bullet down a bit, but I don't really know all the details.

I feel bad for the person that tries to break into my house. There is a gun in at least every other room in my house.

When I was about 6 years old, our house got broken into WHILE we were in it and sleeping.My mom ended up chasing the thief down the street with a broom in her hand.really.I didnt see it but my dad told me about it.Ended up being a Domino's Pizza guy who had asked to use our bathroom and cased our place when he did so. Anyway's after that happened my grandad gave us some of his guns. I remember him always telling my parents after handing over his rifle that if we shoot a burglar/rapist/psycho whomever breaks into our house to make sure you kill them, or else they'll end up sueing your ass off in court and to kill his buddies too so their are no witnesses.

Luckily, we didnt have any more break-ins so we didnt get a chance to test that theory.

And I pity the poor souls who ever try to rob my granddad....they wont live to tell of it....

Yeah, you would think that it would look a little suspicious though to have a bunch of dead people on your lawn, with no witnesses, all dead from gunshot wounds (some to the back - because you know fuckers are going to run when grandpa walks off the porch with guns blazin). I'd worry about family's of those deceased trying to start something. But, hey, if you're going to get shot or hurt in your own house or while you are minding your own business, I guess it'd be good to take a few of them with you...
