Websites to find jobs?

I've tried craigslist, monter, hotjobs, various local classifieds (online and paper), etc etc etc. Only had decent luck with Craigslist, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Any other good sites or such I should be looking for? I am to the point where I can't work my current job another day. It's literally driving me insane. Breakdown is near. No more phone jobs for me. They're simply soul-shattering.

I'm looking for something OFF any sort of telephone, and that pays decent (12+/hr). My experience is pretty good (worked for Apple for two yrs, and Nickelodeon for 6 months, and about 2 yrs worth of retail).

When I was searching for a new job two years ago, one of the books that helped me was "Ask the Headhunter" by Nick A. Corcodilos. The author has a website with information (some unconventional) on how to obtain employment and how to handle interviews. It might be a good resource for you.

have you tried looking under misc (mistle-lay-nee-us) on criags list? i found a job comming up this summer for a camp art teacher. they start training in june. but...i'd kinda been interested in teaching kids before...so if it's not your cup of tea then, whatever.

Yeah, I look in misc (etc?) daily. I actually applied for a few school-jobs. One is content-testing for an edu software company. And since I am in the edu field now (tech support for the tech leads of schools), I think I'd do well.

Teaching would be fun, I agree.

I found my current job (which is really great) through Monster.

Like all big websites, its a hive of scum and villainy, but there's some good stuff there.

Unfortunately not, but have some college experience. Looking foward to, starting this summer, getting back and working toward an edu degree again.

Okay, I can't stress the importance of informational interviews enough. It shows potential employers that you're interested enough to not just send a resume/cover letter but that you're willing to take time to set something up with them and talk about it. The link has great pointers (NEVER ask for a job). Remember that this is your opportunity to refine what YOU want in a job and to practice talking with others in a professional capacity.

You should be putting out 5-6 resumes a day (depending on what sort of job you're looking for). Although, as a non-professional undergrad, you can probably drop that to like 1-3 a day. Stop dallying and get that degree. Go wait tables/work in a coffeeshop and go to school.
