Looks like this site announced Gitaroo Man Live for PSP, and a lot of Japanese retailers have added the title recently. Awesome, if true.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome...I hope it's a new game and not a re-make although I will have to have it either way.
Very cool if true. Now bring us a Lammy sequel as well.
Hells yeah to that, Lammy takes a dump on Pa Rappa.Quote:

http://www.gamespot.com/psp/puzzle/g...418&pid=932473 Look at the last fucking message.
If these are both true, I'm the happiest fucking man alive.
From what I understand the developer of Gitaroo Man hates Koei and will never work with them again. Maybe Koei is handing it to a new dev?
Wow, this totally slipped under my radar.
Gitaroo Man(g) is one of my fave PS2 games and I'd love to get a sequel.
So this is mostly just rumors at this point correct?
It's happening, i think that's all there is so far.

HOLY FUCK PICTURES.
I'll take a portable, enhanced port of the original anyday. Thanks, Koei.
...and it's got a jukebox mode! I might as well dump all of my MP3s, then, 'cause this is all I'll ever need to listen to.
The psp doesn't have an analog stick...
The nub should work better than the stick did. Easier to get the exact direction. I'm not sure about this. I've got the PS2 version, so it'll have to have a good amount of new content for me to get it.Quote:

Though I would've loved a sequel proper...
An enhanced version with new songs n' stuff is still pretty freaking slick.
Better than a straight port atleast.
Release it here and I'll pick it up for sure.
Looks great, I'll be grabbing that shortly after hitting the ground in August.
Easy insta-sale for me. Any word yet on who does the new songs?

I've finaly got a good reason to pick up a PSP.
The PSP analog nub actually worked really well for this. I only got to briefly try it at E3, but I'm definately going to pick this up when it comes out.
Question, though - I have the Japanese PS2 version, so I've just always been used to the songs being in Japanese, and never thought about them being in English. Were they in English in the US PS2 version, or is that new to this version?
There was only one sung song in the original, and it was completely j, unless it was crazy English i couldn't understand. The jibba jabba was English.
English for everything except Flyin' to Your Heart.
I really liked the nub for this, it worked better than the PS2's analog stick by a long shot. On the other hand, the PSP's buttons aren't as responsive and I kept missing notes I could hit with my eyes closed at home.

I just picked this up over the weekend, it's totally killer. The nub is alot better for tracking lines than I thought, and the music comes in really well, even on the tinny little PSP speakers. I haven't tried any of the new songs or Master's play yet, but I'll keep you posted.
But otherwise, this is straight up goodness. The only differences you might, MIGHT notice are the lower poly count for some of the models.
EDIT: Menus are all in english, there's no reason not to get the import, seeing as how the domestic version is currently slated for Feb of next year.
I'm importing if Puma's not still Canadian.
(late response) The only ones with really any lyrics were Flyin' To Your Heart, 21st Century Boy, and Nuff Respect, and I'm pretty sure the first two were still in Japanese in the American version (no idea if the last one was in English or Japanese in the Eastern version so I have no idea if it was that way originally). The speech on top of them from the characters was all in English, naturally.Quote:
