This Month's Haul: April

IBM Thinkpad R51 for $300. Specs are as follows

256 MB RAM
40GB HDD
15" or so screen
Built-in wireless card
Centrino 1.5 GHz processor

Picked up Farcy for the 360.

I'm playing on whatever the hardest difficulty is and I'm not really enjoying it all that much. I think the gameplay style is great focusing more on the stealth aspect, but the aiming is terrile and it takes about 6 shots to the chest or more to take a guy down. Headshots are only 1 shot 1 kill if you are close and they aren't moving at all. It may just be the difficulty, but that is just rediculous.

I got the Official Takara Transformers Headmasters 4-Disc set, and my Surround-sound system from Wal-mart.com came today.

I will NEVER order from Wal-Mart online again....I got my surround system, but it just came in the box that the item was in. No wrap, cover, or ANYTHING. I'm glad everything was okay.

FX, I've had good luck with them shipping DVDs and games, so I'm surprised they'd pack something like that so poorly. That's some slipshod stuff, and reminds me of overstock's fall from grace with shipping items. Anyhoo, I just bought the April issue of Play, and it was nice to browse and have a choice between good covers for once.

Technically I bought it in March, but it finally arrived from Outpost/Fry's Electronics yesterday. Worth the delay because it was $15 off retail. Anyway, it's much better than WLK but still not nearly as good as KD. This series should have been a one-off.

My Southpaw 360 controller just came in the mail today. Tonight I will be playing GRAW for the first "real" time tonight.

Spending a wad of cash to get a modified 360 controller to play GRAW sounds like putting the cart before the horse. I would've just returned GRAW.
