Good ol' EA is at it again! Oh, boy!
It's EA. The same company that charges $60 for a game and then loads the announcer with paid advertisements. They didn't enter this business to make friends.
Yet another reason to have a spambox account at yahoo or something.
You can't sign up for a TNL account without an e-mail address, and there sure as fuck isn't a way to bypass that with $2.
This article is just blowing up the issue into something bigger than it is because it's EA.
But to sign up for xbox live in the first place you need a credit card and you need to make a purchase with that credit card.
A lot of places have ways to get your credit card information. It's not just EA doing this.
What smart people do is restrict their credit card use only for safe purposes for this very reason. Anyone upset that EA has their Xbox Live info isn't playing smart with their numbers.
It's not that we didn't know EA was scummy, it's just that gamers have such a hard-on for slagging EA for their shit and then buying their games anyway.
Which you probably used to sign up for the internet HO HO WHAT NOW?Quote:

The thing is... they did.Quote:

People need to stop buying these fucking games. But Fight Night Round 3 is one of the year's top sellers to date.
So EA charges $2 to use their service, or will let you play it for free if you take their spam? Pay the $2.
Or yes, create a spam account.
EA isn't taking my email addy. So they must be giving you something in return. Play on their networks, perhaps?Quote:
