Reagan Star Wars!
If the tests were a success, they need to get these system over in iraq right now.
RE: Video
THAT is fucking crazy.
Circle this post with a marker. Spot on. Imaginative pre-vis stuff, that video though.Quote:

^^ yep. Don't get fooled by the silly force bubble graphic, this has nothing to do with Star Trek - it's all ballistic. This isn't really new technology. These systems are known to be absurdly ineffective in real situations.Quote:

I just don't see the effectiveness, maybe? You've still got a big chunk of missile going somewhere. Lucky days for ground support. Nice propaganda bit, thx fox!
Being that I know almost nothing about explosives, this could be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyhow. Could you use a non-projectile means to do the same thing, such as, say, a high frequency radio wave, an EMP weapon, or something else along those lines? Is there anything about explosives that they could be detonated at a decent range away from the vehicle through such means? Ever with computer targeting and whatnot, you still have to hit one moving object with another.
What? It detonates the explosive end (THE BAD PART) of the RPG. What hits the tank would just be the end piece of the projectile (THE NOT SO BAD PART). It would then have all the destructive capicity of throwing a metal pipe against a tank (THAT WOULD BE NO DAMAGE).Quote:
