Fixed your "upon."
But otherwise, yes.
Well that sucks.
If this were ever allowed, then yeah it would blow.
I call bullshit. Bush is a moron, but surely he's not THAT big of a moron.
I'm pretty sure we've (the United States) already been using these nuclear Bunker Buster bombs/ missles.
The nuclear material is super dense depleted uranium. In this instance there isn't a nuclear reaction/explosion - but still radioactive material is spread in the air and can have repercussions for generation to come.
If you can't reach their nuclear facilities with conventional bunker busters, what the fuck is the other option? The bombs being discussed aren't like the ones that fixed Japan. They are tactical and explode underground.
Love that euphemism.Quote:

We've seen this before in Iraq, and that was just from the chemical waste of DU rounds in the soil.
Love them. :icepick:Quote:

A nuclear attack on a Middle Eastern nation will have grave repercussions, and until the diplomatic option has been completely exhausted I don't think we should rush into something this stupid AGAIN.Quote:

Diplomacy has zero chance of working, but I agree that we should reach that end, as long as military advantages aren't being lost.Quote:

And really what can our Army do? They are allowing invalids and gangbangers and shit into it because people who meet their standards don't want to join anymore. And even with that they are missing recruiting goals. The problem is, if we decide to go to war with Iran, I dont know if we have any options other than nukes.
I'm glad Daddy Bush is protecting us from Terrists.
Your mom is a Terrist.
and guess what? There's a possibility that another bush could be in office.... If those fucking morons vote for that guy i'm joining johnny depp
At least Jeb isn't as liberal as George W. and their dad.Quote:

Iran is violating a treaty. They aren't allowed to have nuclear weapons. We are. That's what most of the idiots who post here and whine don't get. The Middle East mess gets bigger when we ignore it. No one wants to use US troops over there, but the alternative could be much worse.Quote:

Oh well. Iran I hardly knew ye.
The thing I don't understand is that there's no proof their bid for nuclear power is going to lead to a weapons program besides the fact that we all assume it will (as do I). Can we act off this assumption or do we need something concrete?Quote:

You can posture about how Iran has FORCED us back into nuclear standoff, but the truth of the matter is that the US has led the world back to the brink and did so unashamedly.Quote:

The time for diplomacy is over.

All these nations have been demonized in the American mind at one point, because for the most part the average American is isolated in understanding and ignorant of the world around them.
I don't doubt there is a legitimate concern regarding Iran, especially when it's an established fact that the theocracy over there paints such a rosy picture of us Americans, but dropping nukes to solve the problem? That would leave future generations to clean up the biggest humanitarian disaster we've ever seen.
Question is whose side is going to clean up?
It's pretty obvious the world is heading towards another confrontation on World War levels. Now is the time to prepare for an attack. Diplomacy is over becuase we simply can't talk to these guys.
It may be time for some good old fashoined Roman "Shock and Awe" tactics.
WE should blow up the world.. and start all over bitches...
I love it. Regime change! Let's ring that call up again! WOO! It was SO FUCKING SUCCESSFUL last time! Wait, what do I mean, "last time?" We're still working on that one...
Many Bothans died bringing us this information.
I wonder, how many of us are going to get drafted over the course of the next decade...
It's really very simple- if we don't nuke them, we might get nuked ourselves. If we do nuke them, we will, unquestionably, get nuked in return. I think alternate solutions are in order here.
If I had any I'd probably be paid more than I am right now.

The Powers that Be need to maybe grab some sandwiches and talk it out.
Falafel sandwiches perhaps?
Considering the circumstances, I think it has to be on rye.
Falafels are gross.Quote:

No. What we need are Robot Jox.
Really pretty unlikely actually. A soldier on the ground today does what 4 guys did in Vietnam. They are better trained, and arguably, better equipped. The last thing an officer wants is conscripts, who are generally less disciplined, less efficient, and less reliable than soldiers who volunteered for service.Quote:

Where'd you get that figure? The one I saw it was closer to 1/3 were regular volunteer forces and the rest were draftees.Quote:
