Yup, it's just like I said above- Vince refuses to allow anything to succeed that doesn't have his fingerprints all over it, but if it fails, it's everyone else's fault.

ECW was brought back becuase Vince thought he could appeal to the old ECW crowd.
However as you can tell by the reactions from the ECW crowd at their first house show it's obviosu that the ECW fans have already decided to condemned this effort. Making it a 3rd Alt. show might work longer than trying to appeal to a fanbase that has decided to not support you.
That said Paul should still be head booker.
Vince is a pretty dirty guy. I'm sure ECW will be his excuse to get his jollies out.
Think about it. Heyman + Vince might actually work.
That's the exact same number they drew last week.Quote:

Even still, 2.3 to a 2.2 is not that big of a deal. Granted the numbers would be at least the 2.8 if it weren't complete shit.
Anyone know how well the two WWE/ECW One Night Stand PPVs did? Did they have high buyrates?
So, I was watching iMpact last night and only caught one match, Dudley's/AMW and thought I thing. How could Vinnie Mac get rid of the Dudleys? That's one thing that's missing from WWE, a tag team that I enjoy watching and that the fans are behind. I knew, somehow, what Cornette was going to announce (the four-way for the next PPV and JJ defending the same night and Raven vs. Zbysko) but I thought that was a great promo especially w/him breaking up Team Canada. Never seen someone tell a faction that they have to disband.
All I saw was the tag match with Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal vs. Team Canada, then I went to bed. The match itself sucked, but I have to say that Jay Lethal is a pretty talented guy, at least.
Oh, and the Canadian Destroyer is the sickest finishing move I've ever seen. I love that thing.
There's no Smackdown in my area this week and I have no idea why.
