That reminds me of the golden WCW days where we got to see Reid, David, and Ric Flair in tag team action against Bischoff and the NWO.

As for house shows, I went to a WCW house show a few years and it was awesome. Their were several tag team matches, a hardcore match with Hak and Brian Knobbs, and The main event was DDP vs. Goldberg.

And the two NWA/TNA shows I've been to were awesome.

I enjoyed the ending of Raw a lot. Although in my mind I think HHH will win, I honestly believe it can go either way. I read the new issue of WWE magazine, and the article about Brock Lesnar and the Rock's training regimens for Summerslam was very insightful. I wish they would do more of those. And all I have to say is Brock Lesnar is a monster.

NWA is super old school, i saw them in like 89' out here in the Bay Area, Ric Flair kicked someones ass in the main event, awesome memories.

After being with the company since the mid-late 70's, I think Fink has earned the right not to have to take that kind of a bump, although both Mae Young and Moolah are probably even older than he is and had to sell for the Island Boyz the previous week. Well, whatever, at least hopefully this means Fink does more ring-announcing, I've always preferred him over Garcia.

Tell me about it, what the hell was the point of that whole Slaughter segment? And I really hope Taker will actually sell for the Un-Americans, and not just kill their heat like he has with Jeff Hardy, DDP, etc, etc, etc....

I know this sounds very cold-hearted of me, but would it be asking too much for HHH and Shawn to just cripple EACH OTHER in their SS match and announce a simultaneous retirment from wrestling, just so we never have to see either of them in the ring again? I wouldn't object to that at all.

Some Smackdown thoughts:


I enjoyed it quite a bit. The opening match with Cena and Angle was great. Nothing fancy, nothing risky, just an entertaining match with mostly basics used and nothing more. I also loved the set up that caused the DQ (Hey, some DQs are good) which led to the six man match later on in the show. I also very much enjoyed the six man match. Great stuff from everyone in that bout.

Seeing Brock Lesnar murder Hulk Hogan was entertaining. It's not often a bearhug actually wins someone a high profile match, but heck, it beat Hogan. And the internal bleeding helped get Lesnar's bearhug over. And of course the sick attacks on Hogan after the match and the spreading of Hogan's blood on Lesnar's chest was just so awesome. We see Lesnar toss 300lb men around all the time, but it's sick shit like spreading blood on your chest that makes you believe the Motherfucker is crazy. :evil:

I don't know what to think about that mysterious envelope Bischoff stole with the help of Stacy...Hmm, I guess we find out what that's all about on Raw. :)

Decent Smackdown overall imho.

Lots of crusier weight action, would've liked to see more of Reyrey in the 6 man though.

The 6 man was a good setup for next week, and a little Angle/Mysterio match. :)

I thought the Brock/Lesnar match was alright. It was more entertaining watching the crowd basically gawk, and sit in silence as Brock "destroyed" Hogan...

-im glad matt hardy is back. jeff is by far my most favorite wrestler ever but theres just something about how they work in tandem....oh and jeffs entrances just keep getting better and better

and that whole HHH thing was dumb...but then again how else could they get those two in the ring together.

Matt looked alot better on this weeks raw.

Like I said above, it seemed like some solo time on Heat (and who knows what else), got him looking better/more energetic in the ring upon his return with Jeff.

I liked it alot better in ECW, when Jerry Lynn wrote "DIE" on his chest in Steve Corino's blood. Of course, Hogan would probably die if he had to juice half as bad as Corino used to, but I still think Heyman is running out of ideas.

And speaking of Heyman's influence on Smackdown, I kinda liked the ECW style "have some guy run down to beat up the guys in the ring, and then make that into a match on the spot" thing they had going on with Batista and Rikishi. The match blew (when will Vince finally learn that massively obese people CAN'T wrestle? The Mark Henry match that led into it sucked balls, too), but I liked how they started it.

The difference between the two situations is that in ECW it was Jerry Lynn using Steve Corino's blood to do it and the crowd was dying of boredom. I mean, when it was happening I was somewhat disgusted, but it was just meh. The crowd was about a minute away from shitting on the guys because the match was so long.

But when Brock (Or anyone for that matter), does it to a legend like Hogan it means a heck of a lot more. And of course as a result it means more to the audience. But I agree with you about Heyman running out of ideas, though. I don't think he's had one creative or original idea since the peak of ECW. But hey, he's still a smart man, and that puts him ahead of many other writers/bookers.
