Nash has a gimmick on how he thinks the X-Division is filler for the big guys, and even mediocre big men are bigger than the best little guys. He's heel gold.
He did an interview with Shelley where he made a graph that showed how he drew more than the Rock, Austin and Hogan put together. He comes out every show and beats down an X-Division guy after they win and they're tired. "This is Chris Sabin, World X Cup champion, and look at him. No offense, it was all me. Size does matter."
I think the best part was this online exclusive interview he did with Shelley where he asked Shelley to quote that silly catchphrase they came up with for the X-Division, and Shelley was like "now keep in mind, I didn't make that up" and Nash goes "Here's some advice for you: take credit for everything. Don't miss a big chance to own something."
I'm going to to have to go back on what I said earlier, and admit that I'm warming up to him. And that's after years and years of Nash hate.Quote:

Bringing back ECW at this particular time is such a cold, calculated business decision by Vince. Apparently ECW's biggest venue's are going to be the arena's they tape their two hour television show for SCIFI in, right before Smackdown. Their touring dates are targetting arena's and counties WWE usually won't tour in because they're too busy hitting bigger markets.
That means the indies are going to have a lot more trouble booking shows with increased business in their smaller local markets from ECW (with bigger names, too). It's rumored ECW is also planning on taking a lot of unsigned indy talent that would otherwise be overlooked by the company, too. Guys who would normally work for TNA, ROH and CZW are going to be looked at as strong candidates for employement (as well as developmental talent, it seems).
Good business move all around.
Orlando Jordan was released.
He will undoubtedly not be missed.
All the ECW smarks know this is coming. Announcing it with this big reveal would be pointless.Quote:

--Official for ECW One Night Stand are Rey Mysterio vs. Sabu for the World title and a Tazz-Jerry Lawler confrontation. The decision on whether Tazz leaves Smackdown for ECW had not been made as of today. WWE listing him on the ECW web site would seem to indicate that's the direction it is leaning. The entire card should be released by Raw on Monday.

That truly was an amazing bomb to watch unfold as it happened. Kane's facial expressions said the same thing every viewer was either saying or thinking - what the fuck is going on here!?
I think undertaker was playing his double again.
I'm just curious, didn't Glenn play Kane when he was first introduced or did they happen to bring him in prior to the mask coming off?
Pay attention voltz, we've already been over who played the new "fake" Kane.
I actually WANT them to continue with the story because it's so hilariously bad.

Here's a somewhat sad bit on the "wellness" policy (and wrestling in general).

Is Tazz going to actually wrestle in this? Also, some of the guys they've signed have had some pretty major issues in the past, guys like Axl and Sabu. Does WWE actually think these guys will be able to pass their new testing policy? In fact, didn't Axl screw up he and Ballz getting a contract right after the PPV last year for that very reason?
Thanks,
Ettore Santarelli
DM: Tazz is not going to wrestle. WWE's application of drug testing has been very unique. For whatever reason, their belief that guys who had drug problems on one or two shows a week at the age of 30 can now do four shows a week at the age of 40 with no problems. By the list of people signed, obviously no preventive measures are being used in terms of who is hiring. They'll just pretend until something happens, which is how most of the business has always handled it anyway.
I think they should continue the Kane storyline. I want to see Kane vs Kane at Summerslam to mirror Undertaker vs Undertaker all those years ago.
I would have Fake Kane get DQ'd at Vengeance and then Kane beats him at Summerslam by chokeslam or tombstone. Whatever.
It's a funny fued. I want it to go on.

The 6/1 Figure 4 Weekly radio show has some info on the reasoning behind the PPV price raise - it's a mix of greed and not wanting to appear secondary to UFC, who raised their PPV prices, so WWE felt like they had to follow suit. In TNA news, the company is scared shitless of Steiner doing a one-on-one match after seeing him wrestle Buff on the 6:05 Reunion PPV. They're also talking about how terrible a move it is to move Kurt Angle to ECW, as he'll do more damage to his body, on more shows, and he'll get paid a hell of a lot less. It's said that they need to give Angle the same schedule as Taker, so he'll last longer and be healthier.
Edit - I just saw an ECW: ONS ad on Headline News. Damn was that surreal.
The new ECW won't last because there's too many dates. Didn't they wrestle the ECW style like 2, MAYBE 3 nights a week tops in old ECW? Expecting people to go balls to the wall every night isn't going to work. And if it does work you're going to have to tone down everything that made ECW awesome from before.
ecw ONS has lost its namesake since the brand is coming back hasn't it?
have they planned PPV's for the brand or just weekly shows so far?
One Night Stand will probably become the Wrestlemania of ECW since it's the most prominent name for an ECW PPV they have.
so they're having this ECW vs. WWE show before the brand launches, and then ONS which for most accounts, is the same thing.........
They've got the weekly shows, and the new December PPV will be for them as well.Quote:

--If you didn't see Smackdown, they pretty much made it clear there would either be a match or a confrontation with Tazz vs. Jerry Lawler at One Night Stand, plus Kurt Angle issued an open challenge to anyone from a four sided, six sided or eight sided ring. There was an unofficial UFC response already laughing at it. The big speculation everyone has contacted me with is Daniel Puder, but he's fighting Friday night in San Jose, so I'd be very surprised for a number of reasons besides that if it's him.
Puder can't wrestle though.
No one expects Angle-Puder to be a five-star classic, and he did farily well for himself in OVW. The point of the match wouldn't be to have a great match anyways.
The worst part of your wrestling thread posts is that nothing you ever say makes sense. In regards to the above sentence, why? I'm assuming it's because he either sucks or is too dangerous, but you can't just say vague shit and expect people to rely on their assumptions.Quote:

I still don't understand how Puder and Angle would be perfect for ECW when it would probably be a terrible match. I guess they had one small altercation with Puder almost making Angle tap out, but that's hardly showstopping build-up.
It's perfect for ECW due to that real-life buildup, and since WWE didn't take advantage of it at the time, they might as well do it now and get an easy surprise moment for the show (as well as the new ECW).

Gohan, don't be surprised if your pic gets removed. To the local (or at least somewhat local) TNLers, Carlito will be appearing at the Malloy Auto Mall on 6/10 for an appearance, and he gets his own coupon!
Edit - Perfect timing for the Puder discussion, as he'll be on WOL tonight. They'l be discussing ECW on the show, along with Scott Williams, who wrote the Extremely Unauthorized Story of ECW. Bryan's telling a story of Lawler burying ECW during the break. He wanted the fans to chant RAW and to stop chanting ECW, and they do, with the idea being to chant ECW when they go back on-air, and no one is chanting ECW with him saying that he wanted the people to stop chanting it. The way he tells it shows you just how cold the ECW revival is to the general audience, since this thing made to goad the fans into chanting it doesn't work. Now they're talking about stupid it was to do the GM announcement since no one at the show knew, since it was just announced on the mobile service and the website, which few there used. Both feel that Heyman did a better job on commentary on SD to put over ECW than anything that's been done on Raw.
Angle-Rey is praised as one of SD's best matches for the year, with Paul's commentary explaining that we were seeing the ECW Kurt Angle in the ring helping the match. They're both talking about how Angle is in real danger in ECW. A Steiner-TNA comparison is brought up given each man's health, and Bryan thinks he can be a smarter worker on the road, but Dave thinks that if he has to carry guys for 15+ minutes each night, it'll kill him.
The Fake Kane debuting is compared to the Shockmaster of this decade, which seems pretty fitting given how clumsy and horrible he looked. By the way, Kane is apparently retiring in '07, and is content to never hold the world title again. Impact is praised, and was said to be better than TUF 3 this week.
The merits of good promotion for MMA groups is brought up, as Bryan's local show was able to get 2,000 due to a local tie-in. A caller asks about ONS, and Dave's thoughts on the Backlash main event. Dave says that we can safely say that it was frickin' stupid because people didn't buy it, even though they thought it was clever. It was the worst-drawing Raw PPV since the '04 Taboo Tuesday - and this was with Raw's 3 main eventers in it. Dave and Bryan feel that they killed the title match by having the guys work each other on each TV show before the PPV. Dave feels that "God" was a turnoff.
Puder is on, he'll be fighting Tommy Tuggle, a corrections officer with heavy hands, on Friday. Bryan asks if he's bothered by not knowing until the week of the show, and Puder says he isn't bothered because of so much shit happening due to the commission restricting guys who were set to fight him. Bryan asks him about WWE contacting him, as does Dave, and Puder laughs him off in a suspicious way. Puder says he wants to beat up Angle, and he keeps getting hurt before he can.
Puder's about to give his take on the keylock deal. Daniel says that they were expected to go out and have a good match, and he went out and gave Angle a keylock - Angle was pissed, and Puder thinks that it was due to Angle not expecting it. Angle gave the excuse of thinking it was an amateur wrestling match, with that being bullshit since he gave a guy a neck crank and gave the first guy broken ribs. Now they're talking about Angle fighting Danny Shade when Angle had a broken neck, and he helped train Puder. Dave knew him in high school, but didn't hang out with him.
Dave asks Puder to talk about AKA (Puder's gym), and why it's helped make San Jose a hotbed for MMA. Puder says they've got about 10 guys who regularly spar, and that some of them say they've never sparred so hard. Puder puts over John Fitch, and says that he should be on UFC TV, but isn't. Mike Swick is praised for his submission work, and is working on his boxing and ground game as well. Dave then asks if he's got anything else coming up, and Puder just says he's got this Strike Force fight. He says he's open to anything his coaches tell him to do.
Puder (wisely) praises Dana White, and says that he respects him, and that's he impressed with how well Dana is marketing the company and his guys. Daniel says he respects him because he loves to market himself. Puder says he came up with the idea that girls can sell the guys better than the opponents can.
Puder, Dave, and Bryan get a good laugh out of the guy on TUF 3 leaving the show over a chick. Dave asks Daniel if he'd have done the same thing during TE, and Puder says he wouldn't, since he was just out to win. Dave says that the chick mailing him a letter in the first place hurt, since he's got a bunch of guys ready to destroy him, and that the chick is only hurting things when she's getting all emotional. Puder sounds really stoned so far - it's great! They run down the Strike Force card, and Dave says he's going to it, and wishes Puder luck.
Scott Williams joins the show, and he thinks ECW will implode. He thinks they'll do well on the PPV, but they need to alter their way of taping the matches or else it'll go over like a fart in church. The new plan is that SD tapings will start at 7:30, and that ECW will be live from 10:00-11:00 during the taping. Dave asks what the legacy of ECW is, and what this will do to the legacy. Dave gets memories of Bob Holly and Bart Gunn coming back as the New Midnight Express. Scott compares this to his friend that only listened to the most bland version of a group's popular songs, forgoing all meaning just to listen to his hits. Scott says that it'll likely end up that the new generation of ECW's fans' memories will be 4-5 bad matches done in a cavernous arena with fantastic production. Scott feels that Heyman's inablity to work with others will greatly work against the new ECW.
The second hour begins with Scott talking about how the other two ECW books compare to his. He says that he read some of Lister's version, but didn't read the WWE version. Dave says that he was told the premise of WWE's version was that he took guys from ECW, but that Bischoff was going to do it, so it was okay. Scott clarifies the "bad match" comment by saying the crowds will probably kill them, since the crowds won't be ECW crowds.
Ryan Bennett's passing is discussed, and Dave says that when the Fight Network hits the U.S., he would have been the face of it. His wife and four kids survived a crash caused by a tire blowout. Scott talks about the importance of wearing your seatbelt, having covered hundreds of auto accidents.
Dave asks Scott to compare Terry Funk and Bill Watts, since he wrote the bios for both. Scott says that they're two very different personalities, but that their working personalities were very similar. In neither case did he feel that they were just in it for a payday, with each being concerned with the books being done right, and with meaningful stories behind them. He says that Terry learned wrestling from a young age, while Watts didn't. He didn't watch wrestling before getting into it - he wasn't a fan at all - Danny Hodge used to train with the Sooner wrestlers, and how they'd rib Hodge asking how he could be involved with that fake stuff. Watts joined in on the ribbing, and said that Watts came into it as a business, and left it as such, with moral obligations in tow. Scott says he enjoyed Terry's comeback on Raw, but his wife left the room because he was so old, and Scott kind of had the same feeling. Scott then says it was hard for him to see through watching Terry do the HH show last year.
They all feel this Sunday's match could be his last big PPV match. None of them think it'll be his last match. Scott thinks this'll be his last chance to score a hit on this kind of stage, and Dave feels that it'll be a good match given the hard workers in it. ONS 2's card is run-down, and Scott thinks that Rey-Sabu being for the world title out of nowhere hurt the RVD-Cena match. Scott feels it's very Russo of them.
Bryan says that Heyman hinting at Heyman's statements on SD about wanting one of the world titles so he can rechristen it the ECW title, and that they probably won't do it exactly as it's been done before. Odds are, it'll be done on the show in some form so it ends on a high note for ECW. Scott doesn't think that we'll see the exact same thing as Douglas since he doesn't feel Vince's ego will allow it. They all feel a disputed decision will result in it.
Mark Kerr's misfortune is discussed, and that he might've been an IFL coach. Both Dave and Bryan are amazed that Antonio Inoki will be one. They're back, and Dave is recommending the 3/31/06 Chicago ROH show, since it's got one of the greatest matches he's ever seen. "YOU MUST SEE IT!" - are his exact words. He watched it at 2 AM and then e-mailed Gabe to praise him for it and say that it was at worst, the second-best match in ROH history (right behind Joe-Kobashi). A caller says that he's looking forward to Punk and Rotten being in the same ring, and if they're going to have cameras on the ECW Arena show. Dave feels that they will, and the caller says that on the On the Road DVD, Sandman says they have to have cameras, or else they'll have violated an agreement with Tod Gordon, who leased the building to them with that clause in there.
Everyone is amazed at how little hype they've done for this year over last year's show, which was fantastic. Dave says that it's due to the audience, since they were starved for ECW a year ago, and that isn't the case now. Dave feels that it'll work, since it's something new, and it's Vince McMahon promoting wrestling. It'll be low-cost, and it'll be hard to not make money on it. Dave and Scott feel that they can take some punch out of TNA with ECW, since they can offer a similar product themselves. Dave doesn't feel that it'll work given their plans to hire Test and other bigger guys. Bryan says that he doesn't think they'll hire small guys, since they already have small guys, and they aren't using them well at all. Dave says that ECW broke taboos 10+ years ago with regards to size, and he says that another problem is that Johnny Ace is the head of talent relations, and the company is owned by Vince, so we won't be getting a small man-filled roster.
A caller praises Scott's ECW book and says he called it right down the middle. He asks if Sabu is ever going to win a world title in WWE, and Bryan says that he won't. Ever. The caller compares Foley to Sabu, and Dave says that Foley took crazy bumps, but unlike Sabu, he told a great story and also gave all-time great promos. Dave feels that Sabu and Taz had some good matches, but that they couldn't live up to the hype due to how well Paul E. hyped it. Dave says that Sabu did okay in TNA, and that he could do well in the new ECW. Both Sabu and Rey are dead-set on having a great match on the PPV. The caller says that the ECW fans being taken out of the tapings will hurt it greatly, and that they're hurting ECW for it.
Dave says that as long as they've got a timeslot on Tuesday, they aren't going to move taping days. WWE spends half a million for each taping day, and that WWE doesn't want to spend the extra money to tape it. WWE probably won't change things around since the stations want such slick-looking stuff. Even FSN wanted slick stuff from TNA, and that's why TNA is spending so much on Spike TV. Bryan says they've only got 13 weeks, and WWE needs it to be a good-looking 13 weeks. Paul E. could get by on the cheap, and Vince can't. Dave says that Sci-Fi won't accept stuff on the cheap, and WWE won't let that happen. The caller says that WWF Attitude is just ECW Lite, and Dave says that it's true, and that ECW had influence on WCW as well. Dave says that ECW was influenced by what Paul E growing up, and by FMW. Since he didn't like what he heard, the caller hung up.
Dave wants us to remember the name Shane Carwin - because if PRIDE ever finds him "OH MY GOD!" - he's the person that everyone feels Brock could be. He's a three-time all-American wrestler, two-time all-American football player. He destroyed Justice Smith in about 30 seconds. He looks like a white Bobby Lashley - the bigger version. This guy was 289 ripped to shreads. Bryan suggests that milk is the reason. Dave says he's like Ron Waterman with a big mean streak.
A caller asks about younger guys and psychology, and how Punk got flak from HBK and HHH for not using psychology in his dark/Heat match. He asks Dave who to study for psychology. Dave recommends Bret for both heel and face. Dory Funk Jr., Ted DiBiase, Harley Race, Pat Patterson, Terry Funk, Flair, and Hogan are praised for their psychology. Dave says theirs a big difference between indy and big-league psychology. He wants Bryan to answer, since he wrestled. Dave says that indy crowds want moves, and WWE ones want stories. Bryan says it's like that, but that each crowd wants something different. Bryan says that when you're in a WWE crowd, you expect WWE-style stuff. Bryan then states that some crowds want old-school matches, and if you give them an ROH one, they'll shit on it. Dave feels that the type of crowd you get really makes a difference. You can get 10 or so different kinds of crowds within a region, and that you've got to vary it for each group. Shane Douglas is brought up, and his poor response in ROH is used as an example. If you're a big star, your faults on an indy show are forgiven. Bryan says that Raven works a TNA match for the Orlando crowd. And that when he did a local show, he worked his own style, and it got over. He did no bumps, and it still got over because he did a couple spots people saw on TV.
Now he asks what WWE style is, and Dave says that WWE style is dictated by who runs the company - and that the style is based on what they liked and used. Dave feels that their style is pretty close to an older Mid-South style, since so many worked it, and know it well. Young Hennig work is brought up, and it's said that he'd do well now, since he took crazy bumps, but knew exactly when and why to do them. They all meant something because he sold them and made sure they had an effect throughout the match.
The caller asks what the ideal size is, and Dave says that whatever your size is the ideal size. He isn't sold on a guy being 6'5 being better than a guy is 6'2. Bryan says that just avoid adding weight that prevents your athletic ability. He asks about Kenny, and Dave and Bryan says he's about 6'3 and 215, tops.
The Foley-Heyman promo is brought up for being fantastic due to the passion, but that no one really knew what they were talking about. A caller praises the 4/1 ROH show more than the 3/31 show. Homicide is just working an angle with the "leaving ROH" stuff. And that's the show.
yeah here's more on Kane retiring. and why another SNE? i actually watched it and the final death was cool but the rest was trash (not that i expected more).
"Kane has expressed to WWE management that he is looking to retire from the ring as early as January 2007, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Kane is signed to do the sequel to "See No Evil."
See No Evil made WWE money. It only had an 8 million dollar running budget and has since brought in close to 13 million at the box office. For a second tier wrestler in WWE that draw was pretty good. WWE films, so far, has been a fruitful experiment for the WWE.
Does anyone know what's next for WWE Films? I mean, are we going to see a heartwarming story of a wrestler fighting to save an orphanage from demolition? Wait, that sounds familiar...hmmm.....
It's John Cena's movie about being a Marine.
Oh, yeah, I know about that one. I meant ones not in the can yet. WHEN is that movie coming out, BTW? It's been done for a year or so, hasn't it?
Vince McMahon said he didn't like it, so who knows.
He apparently loved See No Evil
I see. Damn their lives must suck at times....Emperor McMahon calls all the shots.
He's unhappy with the movie AND the crowd shits on him now... so they are scared to release it. The Austin movie (the Running Man rip-off) I don't think has been made yet.Quote:

ECW's been added to fantasy league. PPV and the special get scored for this week, and the weekly show gets scored starting next week. don't forget to make your picks before 7pm est.
Fantasy Week 2 has come and gone, and what a week it was! We'll start things out with the current league standings:
Rank Team Score
1 Chucker Would! 300 (Chuck)
2 genericname.com 297 (Meredith)
3 Team Korly 261 (Korly)
4 TRiPLE BREAK INC. 247 (Victor)
5 Team CEO Advocate 221 (Advocate)
6 Team Kennedy! 195 (Jeremy)
7 Thompson's Teeth 150 (Andrew)
8 blaze fire 92 (Freddy)
9 team avatar 85 (Avatar)
The top 3 saw no movement this week, but the race for first has certainly tightened up! Meredith shortened the gap (Beth Phoenix FTW) between her and the first place Chucker to a mere 3 points! Thanks to 3 Smackdown picks this week that netted a total of ZERO points (Kendrick, London, Tatanka) Korly actually lost 2 points in the race for first as he is now 39 points back as opposed to last weeks 37 points! The big mover this week is Victor who jumped 2 spots from sixth to fourth and is not too far out of the top 3 picture.
The weekly ranking is as follows:
Rank Team Score
1 Thompson's Teeth 150
2 TRiPLE BREAK INC. 138
3 genericname.com 134
4 Chucker Would! 117
5 Team Korly 115
6 Team CEO Advocate 100
7 blaze fire 92
8 team avatar 85
9 Team Kennedy! 71
HUGE week for Andrew, proving that coming in late will not be a problem for him. Freddy and avatar both had underwhelming debuts, but with the big announcement about week 3 (coming later in this bulletin!) look for them to make it up very soon. Bringing up the rear this week is Jeremy whose blind devotion to Ken Kennedy (he's not coming back until THIS week Jer!) along with an expensive (4,000) purchase of an injured Chris Benoit and a no showing Tatanka got him a mesely 71 points.
We lost some ground to the WWE League this week:
Rank Team Score
1 Michael Cole 341
2 Matt Striker 304
3 Todd Grisham 301
4 Team Droz 235
5 The Greatest Cruiserweight Alive 228
6 Shelton Benjamin 204
7 Maria Rules 186
Their top 3 are ALL ahead of our number one guy! We can't let ourselves be beaten by Todd Frickin' Grisham of all people, so it's time to score big and put those "superstars" in their place.
More depressing though is a look at the overall top ten:
Rank Team Score
1 Ultimatehart 425
2 Anthony's World 416
3 Vindicators 414
4 Dravins Destroyers 412
5 Jobber 2 The Stars 410
5 mojomarky 410
5 whome 410
8 Great Dudes 409
9 HAIL OWEN HART 405
9 Hyjinx 405
9 IT ALL ABOUT KANE 405
OUCH. The top guy (or possibly girl) in the game has ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE more points than our top guy! I'm gunning for the very top of the rankings, so I hope all of those dudes slip on a bannana peel during week 3.
BIG HUGE FANTASY ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!
WWE asked, and you fans demanded it! In an opinion poll over the weekend WWE.com asked if we wanted to see ECW added to the Fantasy game in Season 7 (this season for those of you not paying attention) and of course the answer was YES!
What does this mean for you? Well for starters, there is going to be at least one new scoring opportunity each and every week (ECW on Sci-Fi Tuesday nights at 10pm) and in the short term, that means we will have FOUR scoring opportunities this week! The official announcement is as follows:
From WWE.com-
Effective for Week 3, the Fantasy Board has incorporated the new ECW brand into the WWE Fantasy Game! The June 7 ECW vs. WWE special and June 11 One Night Stand pay-per-view will both be scored in Week 3, with the special being scored similar to RAW or SmackDown and One Night Stand being scored as a regular pay-per-view. Starting in Week 4, the Tuesday night ECW television show will be scored, with scoring similar to a RAW or SmackDown.
Several ECW Superstars are now selectable for Week 3 at varying salaries; going forward, more will be added as necessary in the same way new RAW or SmackDown Superstars are added. No matter what brand they appear on, any Superstar in the Fantasy Game will receive points if they show up on another brand's show (i.e. John Cena at ECW One Night Stand).
There are a LOT of points to be had this week. 4 shows means 4 main events. It also means multiple championship matches. The big money match for the week is going to be Cena vs RVD for the WWE title at ECW: ONS. If RVD manages to bring home the gold, that'll be a huge point gain. And if Cena retains the title it'll also be a lot of points (but not as much as a title switch). Cena is a very safe bet this week as he will be in TWO main events this week (the ECW vs WWE special and the ECW: ONS Pay Per View), and he'll get at the very least one set of appearance points on RAW for the contact signing segment. All of that applies to RVD as well. Rey Mysterio and Sabu are two guys to watch as well since they'll be competing for the World Heavyweight title at ONS and will surely be on Smackdown (in Reys case) and the ECW vs WWE special (in Sbau and Reys case).
Outside of the ECW situation there was some movement on the WWE rosters this week as Ashley moved to Smackdown, Michelle McCool made a big return to Smackdown (this time in a "sexy teacher" gimmick), Paul Burchill was injured by Mark Henry and temporarily taken off of Smackdown, Nitro and Melina made their RAW debuts (losing to WWE Champion John Cena), and two big return announcements were made. Expect to see the return of MIIIIIIIIISTER KENNEDY...
...
...
KENNEDY! this week on Smackdown and the Animal Batista will be back in just 32 days!
So remember, roster changes are due by 7pm tonight, and make sure you try to pick wrestlers who will be on multiple shows this week, and wrestlers who will be competing for titles. Good luck! And don't forget that that the WWE Fantasy recap show is up every Saturday morning on WWE.com
-Korly
I got mine in.. 4(Raw) 2(SD) 2(ECDUB).
It's really only 3 raw, but I had leftover money for Chloe.

I'd really like to watch Smackdown from this week, but as has been well documented, me and bit torrent don't really see eye-to-eye right now.
Anyone know where I can get it besides bit torrent (and I don't know how to work DC++ so that's out of the question.)
I'll see what I can do.
Korly, you've got a PM. Holy crap, my WOL recap was nearly 3,000 words.
And I replied to it.Quote:

24/7 just became an even better deal. World Class's TV production was revolutionary, and they can now do some Von Erich DVDs. The timing is fantastic since there are already some documentaries out on the Von Erichs, and now even more VE footage can get out there. Stampede's library will give them a lot of historic footage. A Dynamite Kid comp DVD is now a possibility. That's a darn good ECW deal for UK fans, and the Brooke Hogan story is hilarious.Quote:
--In what is likely to be the biggest news story in this business of 2006, The Fuji Network announced earlier today it was canceling its contract with Pride Fighting Championships. No reason was given, but it was due to the Yakuza scandal as reported in Weekly Gendai magazine. This changes the balance of power in the MMA world completely, as Pride will go from being the major player to a company whose future is very much in question. We'll have a ton more on this in the next Observer. Right now things are just starting to be sorted out. While it may not have the finality as it causing the final end of the company, and certainly not as quickly this is every bit as big, if not bigger then when Jamie Kellner canceled wrestling on the Turner Networks in 2001. Pride's profile in Japan is probably ten times that of WCW's profile in the U.S. in 2001.
--Silver Vision in the U.K., the WWE's DVD distributor, is packaging the original ECW Barely Legal PPV from 1997 with this year's One Night Stand in a combined release in September for prerelease and October for full release
--The L.A. Times calendar section in the MTV Movie awards put over Brooke Hogan's dress ("Hogan looked spectacular in a fitted leopard-print gown)." They did kind of make fun of her celebrity status as when she arrived on the blue carpet, it noted that nobody knew who she was or why she was a celebrity until her publicist told people she was "Hulk Hogan's daughter."
--WWE announced 24/7 will start in August on Comcast Cable, which is a huge addition, plus they will start this summer syndicated a show called WWE Classic, but only internationally. This will be tapes of shows from the library. WWE this past week purchased the World Class library, and two weeks ago purchased most of the Stampede library (they don't own many of the most valuable tapes).
"Many readers sent us word today that a profile for Jack Black's character Ignacio a.k.a Nacho in the new "Nacho Libre" film is up on WWE.com and listing him as a SmackDown Superstar. Thanks to everyone who passed that along. "
holy shit thats fucking ace

More proof that Jack Black rules the world. The man loves his wrestling, and this is a perfect crossover.Quote:
