There's some things about it that make it look fake, most notably the pixel shifting of the text on a lower resolution or lack of resources when editing an image in photoshop, quark or illustrator. That is why the WHO'S NEXT text looks extremely bizarre with every letter seemingly on a different baseline yet the other lettering being perfectly fine.
Maybe it's just a mistake.
I guess we'll find out for sure at or soon after Wrestlemania...

Well, the reason the WWE screwed up that angle was because Vince just got too excited and blew his load way too early. He should have purchased WCW, and then sat on it until he got all of the big WCW stars under contract, like he does now (Nash, Goldberg, Steiner, Hogan, Bischoff, formally Hall, possibly Sting, etc.). Instead, he got scared because the ratings were going down and just went with what was available at the time. Sadly, no one cared about a WCW invasion lead by Hugh Morris and Buff Bagwell. Booker T and DDP were the only WCW guys that meant anything, and they were buried by Rock and Undertaker, respectively. It was the biggest waste of an angle ever.Quote:

Well, not quite. Nash was out for a few months after surgery for a bicep tear suffered in a match with The Rock, and on his first match back from that, he tore his quad right off his knee in a tag match by simply walking across the fucking ring. He had it sugrically re-attached, and has been out 8 months or so in rehab. The injury is similar to what happened to Triple H, though not as severe. To date, since returning to the WWE last year, Nash has wrestled 4 matches total. Whatta guy. :)Quote:

Taker, HHH, and Nash will be the WWE's own, personal Axis of Evil when he returns. Combine that with Angle and Edge being out for at least the next year, and things can potentially get far, far worse on the horizon...
Although if they can execute the budding post-WM Cena/Lesnar angle, properly use Benoit, handle Goldberg's return efficiently, elevate Booker and re-elevate Jericho, things could also turn around. I think we all hope for this :)

Curryman = my favorite rasseler of all time.
He was a character played by Chris Daniels when he was wrestling over seas for awhile.

Last night was one of the best episodes of Smackdown I've seen in awhile. That Mysterio & Kendrick/Hardy & Moore match that kicked off the show was the best I'd seen put on since Heyman left the booking crew. Hogan, Cena, and Lesnar/Angle all put on awesome promos. Sad to see that might be one of the last ones Kurt puts on for awhile :(
I sincerely hope the crowd at Wrestlemania gives Los Guerreros either a good face reaction so they'll finally be seen as such, or a heel reaction so they can be turned back. So far this face turn with them has not worked at ALL. I guess with their "cheat-to-win" gimmick the WWE's trying to hit magic again with morally-objectionable anti-heroe's like Austin and Rock before them. So far, though, the experiment's just been blowing up in their faces.
I was thinking more of an 'loosely all over' kind of thing, but massage will do.
Cena has always been huge. Even in his debut you can see his muscle mass compared to angle. His shoulder do seem to be broadened a lot more, however.

Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon - The crowd should really blow up for this match. Hogan wins otherwise he wouldn't have agreed to it.

Overall, I enjoyed 'Mania this year. My favourite match of the night was actually the Hogan and Vince street fight. There was this one part of the match where one of the announcers called Vince the Devil (I think it was Michael Cole), and McMahon just had this really evil look on his face, and he was all bloody... it was just so perfect. And it was a neat mark-out moment seeing a really fat (tee-hee) Roddy Piper in the ring with Hogan and McMahon.
I think the only thing I didn't like was the HHH and Booker match. I was expecting more, and quite frankly, their match was just really boring; I figured Booker could actually carry HHH and make it enjoyable, but that wasn't the case.
I expected Booker to actually win but since it is HHH that just won't happen. And McMahon's face as he rose up with the pipE was just CLASSIC.

the HHH/Booker match was decent. i liked it a lot more than the Biker/Slow & Gay-Train match with the Jones run in that's for sure.and even though i don't really like either of the two, the Austin/sell-out Rock match was great. i actually can't wait to see Rock talk a whole lotta shit at Raw. Jesus, I don't know which was worse, Trip not putting Booker over or HBK not putting Jericho over. Piper looked more mobile than Triple H did. If Kurt Angle can put his career and life on the line to put a young guy over, then surely Triple H can sell for somebody sometime. Just sickening.

Considering the pace of the Vince/Hogan match, I don't think hulk is going to be in this much longer, he's still not signed under contract and rumor has it he'll at least give the go-around for another year before it's over
I agree with Masters. Although I'm an HBK fan, I thought he'd put Jericho over. What more does Michaels have to prove? Instead, we get another HBK 'Mania moment at the expense of a youngblood.
The HHH/Booker match was just disgusting. Booker was almost more crippled than HHH for most of the match and Trip just buried him. Now tomorrow we'll have to sit through 20 minutes of his stupid self gloating. And they wonder why the ratings are sinking? I can't wait to see the return on the RAW-only PPV.
Angle is da MAN. He worked his ass off for Brock and did a hell of a job. The man is what people like HBK and HHH should use as an example when wrestling new blood.
It was nice to see Rock beat out ol' cue ball. Austin is great but it would suck to see him come back after 8 months and just stun the shit out of everybody. It's about time the Rock beat him at a 'Mania event too.
McMahon/Hogan was cool but we all knew who was going to win, didn't we?
The cat fight seen was beyond stupid. I actually preferred to watch Limp Bizkit than that dumb shit.
The other matches were "meh" but all in all it was a decent event. I do think RAW will suck tomorrow, as usual.
I think Jericho got a great rub fighting his childhood hero in what I think was the match of the night.
So what, he lost. I knew that was going to happen. He still had a great match and one Im sure will be remembered as one, if not his best match.

Damn..That was probably the biggest Wrestlemania fuck up EVER. He somehow got back up to F5 Angle, but then had to be helped out of the ring. Two comments-
1. In no case should anyone attempt a shooting star press from a little more then half a ring away. I don't even suggest that to someone like Kidman whos been doing it for years.
and 2. Another reason why big men shouldn't fly.

I think that Mania was fucking magnificent this year, and although there are always bad moments, I don't think it takes away from the good ones, and as a true fan I live for this day every year.

Yes. I think that was the problem. He didn't get his bearings straight before performing the move and paid for it in the end. It didn't look too bad and Angle actually covered up the mistake as a part of the match.
He actually rolled out of the way, which made it look like he missed and it was Angles fault. He covered him up afterwards too. That's the benefit of working with talent like Guerrero, Benoit and Angle: they can cover up mistakes well.
I thought the end was a bit common with people seeing it coming. But I suppose it's because Brock was out on his own feet. Perhaps an F5 from the second rope would've been a better finish but I don't think he had the strength left.
Good mania, overall.
I don't think any match was below average on the card. The Matt Hardy - Mysterio match was well done and was a really solid opener. Matt Hardy getting the win was awesome.
The Undertaker - Big Show/A-Train match was slower but it was good for a big man match. I don't see anything outstanding in this match besides the tombstone.
The Triple threat tag match was nothing special but not bad either. (good) The end I didn't like at all, it just seemed disorganized and not done well at all. It didn't seem dramatic or anything and seemed more anti-climatic than anything else. I really wish Guerrero and Eddy could have used that time to have a match on their own.
HBK versus Y2J - Match of the night. It had everything and kept the crowd going. A match like this is good for all involved, win or lose. It's a match like Booker T and Triple H without the younger/newer guy going over that hurts the talent. HBK won but since he's been back he's done NOTHING but win and it's a little bit ridiculous. But Y2J had an awesome match and Jericho kicking Shawn was awesome.
The crowd respected Y2J as he left.
Triple H and Booker T - It was an alright match with Triple H seemingly using some sort of ring psychology in the match, but finishing the match off with a pedigree while working the leg the whole match. Nothing special compared to everything else on the card and it showed. Triple H going over was completely and utterly dumb. I sincerely hope Goldberg comes in and wins the title, but in the end he'll probably be the same by not putting anybody over.
Hogan - McMahon - A classic. The fans loved every minute of it and the surprises were awesome (Piper, the ladder legdrop through the table). Hogan won and it was awesome. McMahons face painted red while coming up over the side of the ring with an evil grin was priceless. Great, great match.
Austin - Rock: Alright match, it was a little bit short and lacked in comparison to those around it (not like the last time they wrestled one another). The ending was kind of stupid, Austin just jobbed cleanly with no rhyme or reason and it hurt his character. You could see it at the end of the match when he cheered and most of the crowd didn't cheer back. I think they were expecting Austin to get an A for effort but the way The Rock cheered at the end was weird. It was awkward.
Angle - Lesnar: Great match. It had a rushed ending due to Brock landing on his head and all, but I hope he's alright. I'm thinking a concussion atleast, which is a shame since he always seems to get injured when he becomes champion. Good match, otherwise and Angle covered up brocks mistake while Tazz and Cole played it well by pointing it out (playing along, Tazz is good at this).
The Miller lite catfight girls was retarded.
I haven't watched wrestling in a long time and I'm hearing that the WWE is slowing in the ratings (plus they closed the World restaraunt). Since Wrestlemania just passed, what kind of state is the show in?
Okay, here goes:
HBK should have put over Jericho. I assume they'll have a rematch at Backlash where Jericho will win, but big whoop. Jericho beating HBK at Wrestlemania would have done wonders for his career. Shawn isn't even a part-time wrestler anymore, what good did the win last night do for him?
Crippled H sucks. He'll never put anyone over. Booker should have won last night. Melf's right, now we'll hear HHH gloat about it in another 20 minute opening segment interview. I used to be a huge fan of his but now, damn, how I hate him. He's everything that's wrong with this business.
Angle is GOD. I heard the story about the alternative surgery he could get that would only keep him out 6 weeks as opposed to a year. Damn, I hope that works out, a year without our Olympic Hero would suck. Too bad Edge didn't hear about this surgery earlier... ;) Unlike Triple H, Angle is everything that's RIGHT with this business.
Rock beating Austin clean was the (very, very pleasant) suprise of the night for me. I think it was the first time Austin's jobbed clean in years. But it makes sense. They want Rock coming out of this match strong so that it makes all the more impact when Goldberg squashes him at Backlash before he heads back to Hollywood.
I remember Ross saying that Austin's never quit. Didn't he tap out to Angle in a match once? ;)
Yay, the crusierweight match didn't even get 5 minutes. :mad:
McMahon/Hogan was way better than anyone had a right to expect out of a 50 and 57 year old, and was the match the crowd was the most into. Piper was FAT, so very fat. The three leg drops was a nice touch.
Strong reaction from the crowd to the Goldberg ad. He debuts on RAW tonight and starts his program with The Rock...
Angle/Lesnar was very good, but it figures, Lesnar finally does the SSP and he lands on his face. The hug at the end was a nice touch. I was just glad that Angle didn't appear hurt at the end of the match.
Limp Bizkit sucks.
Overall,WM was pretty good.
I was laughing my ass off after Vince did that leg drop off the ladder and people started chanting "holy shit!"

That's two posts explaining how you guys felt about the matches without talking about the Triple Thread Women's Championship... I thought it was a good match.
Brock didn't hesitate. He was trying to get enough momentum to get the flip completely around. The only thing he did wrong was try something he shouldn't have from that distance to wow the fans, and I give him all the credit in the world for trying.

I still think Brock gets the Biggest Balls of The Night Award... Angle was really to far out to be trying that stunt, but he did it anyway. Angle did an excellent job of covering up for him too.
I saw the vid and it looked pretty bad, but not as bad as when Hayabusa botched the move big-time against Mike Awesome. Still, an amazing feat for a man of his size to do though.

RAW Tag Title match on Heat - Dudleys made no sense, but no one gives a shit about these belts, so who cares.
Rey-V1 was a hot little match, and I don't think Rey can put on a bad match. Wanted to see the real cruiser go over but no complaints. I still don't understand how making a pinfall with a leg on the rope is such a dirty heelish tactic.
The Women's tag match was good - lots of good 3-way psychology and quality wrestling all around. Thought Jazz should have one but I can't complain about Trish.
The Smackdown tag title match was excellent - with 5 quality wrestlers and an asskicker like Rhyno. The right guys won - I wonder what they'll do now.

Make no mistake - RAW championship match sucked. I'd rather see Goldberg with the strap at this point.

I wish the cameras would have stayed on them longer after the match to show them get the ovation they deserved - their embrace had to be a shoot, and really touching.

All good points. Kurt's injury didn't seem to slow him down, and Brock is bad-ass for still hitting the F5 after landing on his face while attempting the SSP. I was pissed that the cameras didn't stay on Kurt and Brock's in-ring celebration longer, too. It was indeed touching.Quote:

Yup, looks like Kevin Nash returns tonight as well. Plus, Goldberg said in a recent interview that he was debuting on the Raw right after Wrestlemaina. The WWE always launches major angles right after Wrestlemaina, so it makes sense to debut Goldberg now while it would still be a suprise to many people.Quote:

I don't remember where I read it, but I seem to remember reading that Nash's most embarassing moment was a day he was wrestling and he forgot his normal pants, so he had to wear some old tights he had that showed his legs. The big boot just doesn't seem as devestating now.

The inverted Indian Deathlock was HHH's primary finisher in WCW. He didn't use the pedigree until his final months in WCW.
