How to be Carlito:

2) spit apple on somebody
3) cheat to win every match
4) repeat
I'm already bored with him.

eh.. there aren't that many great theme's today. In fact..I can't think of any really good ones at the moment. I picked up the Anthology set last year for all the classic themes that were perfect for their characters (old school Taker, Gangrel, Hogan, Sycho Sid, Razor Ramon..and yes...even the Honky Tonk Man!).Quote:

Some of it is real, but when he slips into his Razor Ramon stuff, it's fake as hell. He used Orton's version of Elix Skipper's Overdrive/Play of the Day, and did it really well, much better than Orton's version.
this i cool.Quote:

Carlito is awesome, and I will fucking ban anyone who says otherwise.
Kano doesn't call those who don't want to be cool.
Does it matter about Carlito. He is the future of the buisness just like Orton,Cena,Christian and Benjamin are
The future is now, then?
I guess Ric Flairs dead to us too, and will never be apart of any future WWE shows. Because he wasn't listed as being a part of the future, either. A shame really, but a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

JBL isn't new talent. he was just there at the right time because the APA gimmick wasn't cool anymore. Cena is already over, but bordering on being uncool, but still remains cool because he got punked out by Carlito in his debut. and that's cool. no one cares about Kidman. but the shooting star onto the stretcher is cool.Quote:

I enjoyed Smackdown. Orlando vs. Booker was a good match. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I missed the first 1/2 hour, so I assume Carlito didn't even wrestle. Jesus is great.
I hear the rumour is now that Evolution and Edge will fight Jericho, Benoit, Maven and Randy Orton in a War Games type match at Survivor Series.
This could be awesome if it's true.
That would rule, but if they keep it down to one ring...yikes.
I wanted to see more rings. Not for the wrestling, just to see how far they'd take it.Quote:

I was there on Tuesday for the taping of Thursday's show. Jesus God was it utterly boring half of the time. When you go to Raw, since it's being shown live, the only real downtime was during the commercial breaks. At Smackdown, though, after every single segment, there was at least a five-minute period of absolutely nothing going on. I mean, for example, Heidenreich's call - absolutely nothing going on before it, they show that small bit of video, and then we got to wait again with nothing going on. I'd say the time that we just sat there with nothing going on was equal to the amount of time that something was going on.
I should have watched, too, to see how things came out on TV. The whole in-ring Tough Enough segment came off pretty awkward. And after Orlando lost, JBL was ripping on us pretty hard, talking about how we should be used to losers with how our football team is doing this year. *heh*
Don't the also re-tape segments that didn't work the first time? That would be annoying as well.
That's happened a few times, although given how wrestling is basically a one-take industry, I'm amazed it doesn't happen more often.
Summerslam was much the same, though. I went to Summerslam expecting something special and there was absolutely NOTHING there between breaks. It felt like they were going through the rings, by the numbers, and it just killed the crowd. So much, infact, that as a crowd we started to seek out other forms of entertainment such as booing faces, cheering heels and doing gigantic arena-wide waves during heavyweight title matches.
the APA was never cool.Quote:

No reasons were given. A-Train and Test will be missed. Test's release is just a shame, as he's recovering from neck surgery caused by their rings. Billy Gunn will probably go to TNA, assuming they can give him a new, non-Monty Sopp name.
I liked A-Train. He really tried hard in the ring for a big guy. I don't care about Test one bit. The guy had so many chances and ALWAYS fucked up while in the midst of a push. In that regards he's hilarious, but I don't really care about him. Although putting him in Tomco's place would probably be a better deal.
Eric Bischoff looks like Tom Cruise's character from Collateral with the new grey 'do and beard. Makes him look bad-ass.
It sort of does. Needs spikes though.
Heel Edge isn't too bad so far. I don't care for all the book plugging during a match but I could see Edge is having fun with his new heel role. Also, that new Muhammad Hasain (sp?) dude's character is so typical WWE. They have a wrestler with an arab background and yes.. he wants a chance cause people may not like him cause of the 9/11 terrorists..bah.
Why is Viscera still there??!!
Edge's entire heel turn during this whole show has been one of the funniest fucking things they've ever done.
Viscera's awesome. Oh and Christians better than Edge will ever be in all except ring ability. If I were Edge I'd sign a copy of my book and give it to my fallen opponent after the match to figure out what they did wrong and what I did right.
Simon's awesome too. Although I'm not sure how far Nova'll get with this corny gimmick.
"The leader is on his way" - yes, Edge rules. Raw was fantastic from top to bottom, and like I said on the WrestlingClassics board, I love that the main event TOLD A STORY.
The story of Peter Pan? I don't like that story.
Waitwaitwait....... Simon is Nova?!Quote:

When his translator redid the whole promo again, I knew this guy would be fucking awesome.
Praise Allah.
shidoshi, yup. He got into amazing shape towards the end of ECW's life.
Hell yes. Edge had me cracking up on commentary during the tag match last night. And I loved it when Benoit went for the tag and Edge looked at his "watch" and jumped off the apron. Sure, anyone with a pulse saw it coming, but it was still gold.Quote:

Didn't know that either. I was ready to hate Simon Dean, but he wound up being pretty funny.Quote:

The guy needs to retire and just be a manager.
Edge's spear is god awful as a finisher. He should've stuck with his jumping DDT thing. Edge's spear should be called The Running Hug as far as I'm concerned.Quote:

I thought he was injured for real during that match because he was limping and sluggish getting up. I didn't know that he was injured for real, and it amazes me how stubborn some wrestlers are. It would be sort of brave for him to put on a show in that condition if he were the big star, but he's not adding much to matches. He's more entertaining when he's managing and totally flipping out by the apron.Quote:

Flair has a torn groin muscle, so he'll sell a low blow pretty well right now.
Without Jeff Hardy selling it, it's not nearly as devastating looking, no. But it's evil Edge, dammit, so it's cool.Quote:

Simon should try that on Flair. :)
It's not that he has one specific injury (well, except for the groin tear that Teh Jeremy pointed out), it's just that his body is so banged up from years and years of bump taking that from what I hear, he's in considerable pain most of the time. Not to mention that he's nearly 60 and has had a broken back at one point. Yet he still goes out there. I respect the guy 150% and believe he's truly the greatest of all time but it's time to call it a day.Quote:

He adds nothing to matches anymore, but the crowd loves him, dammit. He could axe murder a busload of school children in the center of the ring and the crowd would "whoo" along with every axe stroke.Quote:

i hope not. i rather see Edge join Evo than Maven. Jericho maybe, but i think he's comfortable staying as a face a little bit longer. i don't really see any of it happening, though. and i don't know why this is a spoiler.Quote:

I finally got a chance to see some of the famous 20/20 expose on wrestling from about 20 years ago, check out Snuka's forehead. YOUCH
his forehead looks like Sabu's entire body.
Nidia, Gail Kim, and Chuck Palumbo were released today.
I liked Palumbo. I guess being put into a humiliating gimmick got those two no where. I'm surprised they fired Billy Gunn though, since he had been with the company for so long (think about how long ago the Smokin' Guns were around). But all the people they released, minus A-Train, kind of deserved it.
I don't think A-Train is a very good character, but he worked harder than any big man the WWE had. I'm assuming that with all of this house cleaning WWE is preparing to bring someone big on board. They fired a couple of guys before Nash and Hall came back, and also Goldberg.
Johnny Samboli, Jazz, and Rodney Mack were released today.
They ain't backin' tha Mack anymore? OH NOES!
Shit, they're really cleaning house.
Yeah, they are. This new Johnny Ace regime just rules the world. Test called him to ask what he's supposed to do for money while he's on the shelf for SIX MORE MONTHS and Ace told him that he hoped he saved his money. Then he offered Test a gig when he was "healthy" at greatly reduced pay. What a fucking asshole.
Where is this Test interview everyone keeps talking about?
It isn't an interview, it's a commonly-found news report now. Rico's been released, which makes TEN releases in one week, thus far. Dave Meltzer reports that two more have been cut, and their names will be announced soon.
i'm guessing Tajiri or Rosie.
Nunzio and Val Venis.
Is that a guess or fact?
Oh, and why the hell isn't Hardcore Holly first off the block?
Guess. But I'm always right.
Hardcore Holly and Scotty 2 Hotty are my guesses. Hey this is fun. They should do this every week and we get to guess who is getting the axe.
Kenzo Suzuki and Hardcore Holly.
WWE are also moving into smaller arenas and apparently the roster split could be ending. I smell a huge WWE shake-up come 2005. Maybe even return to the WWF initials while they are going all nuts! They are available now, right!?
Riding on Austins coat tails really got them far, eh? I'm surprised they aren't bringing back The Rock for a year.
TEH INSIDER REPORT!Quote:

I'm pretty sure Mark Henry has a huge contract they'd have to pay through the nose to get him out of. Garrison Cade is a great choice but I'll stick with mine. Val Venis was another good choice.
I'd like to think they would keep Nowinkski because he got a career ending injury in their rings. Similar to Droz' situation.
I think WWE becoming a bit smaller is a good idea. Why keep the big lights on when fans aren't that supportive anymore? Bring it back down and let the real fans keep watching.
What WWE really needs is, sorry to say it. New RAW announcers. WWE seems to be situated with new announcers every 'Era' right? We've had new ones that add new flavour to the show. Of course it has to be the right set, but it's time for JR and the King to step down. WWE needs a fresh look and they are stale with. I'd say bring in Austin solely as the colour guy for a while, he teams with JR and the King every week and doesnt get involved in wrestling at all (maybe once a year, like the King). Then eventually King steps down and JR and Austin are left, then JR gets replaced civilally with someone fresh who is a non wrestler. Austin is back, WWE fans like that. He isn't wrestling, so some people are happy about that but he is a funny guy and he could make for some good colour.
Other colour guys? Maybe DDP, Raven (he knows he stuff), Bret Hart even?
I just figure it's time to stop living in the attitude era 100%, drop everything to do with that era. The red, the logo, everything and start a new era for once. It's time for that.
But what do I know, I'm just a fan.
PS: Austin in Commentating position is enough to warrant the shift from Attitude Era, I think..... :)
i didnt know Nowinski got hurt, and to that extent. they just showed him on their campus crawl voting blurb last week. and i agree about the announcers. i still feel McMahon was the BEST. just the way he gets all riled up when he talks and i never heard him fumble words. or at best VERY rarely. i miss the beginning days of Raw. smaller venues and McMahon doing color.Quote:

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the pink slip of Hardcore Holly.
As for who's getting cut, I'm really worried that Triple H might be next. Please keep him and his job safe, Jesus.
Is Test still sticking the meat trombone to Stacy? He could just mooch off of her.Quote:

Concussion. Bad one, from what I hear.Quote:

I can only hope that in the next round of firings they get rid of Hardcore Holly, and perma-ban Moolah and Mae from EVER showing up in any form of WWE programing until the end of recorded history.
I liked Gail too.
And Holly should have been the first to go.
I think by the New Year, WWE could be a lot different. Or at least we will be seeing the changes into a downsized WWE.
Concussion syndrome. I think if he takes a bad spill to his head he could end up paralyzed or dead. He was a good character and I liked him a lot, but everytime he got into the ring the other wrestlers would completely destroy him. I don't know if he's accident prone or what, but he seriously got kicked in the face really hard during every match.Quote:

He could have been a fun character, but luckily he has an Ivy League degree to fall back on which none of those cut could say. Not sure what the others did before becoming wrestlers but I hope for their sake they have something else in mind when in regards to future employment.Quote:

As I stated, I liked him too... a shame really.
I hope they do downsize... get shows in smaller arenas so they can fill them again, and not lose so much money that they'll go bankrupt. Keep us fans happy, and heck, with smaller arenas come smaller prices. I say they should cut back on PPVs too. Really trim the fat in the roster, combine the brands again, and then only have a PPV every couple months to build up the talent again. Also, make sure that Suvivor Series from now on is completely old-school, get rid of the PPV in between RR and Wrestlemania so that the win means something. I dunno, I have a lot of ideas of what they need to change, but I don't see most of them happening, and Vince will run it into the ground eventually.
Dig Marc Mero from Impact, he looks amazing, and moved around really well:
Macho Man is back.
This year's random heel/face teams are more old school Survivor Series than you may think. No one seems to notice but them putting Snitsky/Edge/Evolution together is total old school where they would pair heels who are over even though they aren't on the same page to say. Same with Maven on the face side.
I think it's great that they did this but nobody seems to notice.
Yea.. Marc Mero looked to be in fantastic shape. I didn't get a chance to see the PPV, but in the Impact promos Hall and Nash both looked 80 years old.Quote:

i dodnt get SD in my area so i was suprised to see that Mike "the Mizz" (from the real world) was one of the million dollar tough enough contestants.
Carlito might need surgery, and might not work the ppv. that is not cool.
the last two cuts were that guy that played the APA's slave, and The Cat's houseboy - Lamont something or another. the other was someone on staff. and the world continues not to care...
Calito WILL need surgery, but he'll likely try to work the PPV.
Why does Hardcore Holly still get a paycheque?
That guy should be jobbing to X-pac in the indies or fucking pouring my milkshake at Wendys. God, get rid of him.
Man, Holly is great. I can't believe all of the hate in here.
And, wait... did the Cat actually even make it to WWE? I swear I saw promos for him a while back, but then never saw anything else of him.
