I think it's funny how they built LOD, and then realized they had nowhere to go with them, so now they're basically the tag team equivalent of jobbers.
You'd be good to write this entire season off as a bad run and wash your hands of it. Soon it will start fresh again, anyway, and you could be a contendor once more.Quote:

with one more week left it looks like were all finishing a lot worse than we did last time. ill be like 4-500 points less than what i finished with last time. all the sucky early locks attributed to some of it but not all.
me too. i dont get SD in my area so i never know whats going on. thats usually why i do so good with my Raw picks. i dont think i do too bad considering i only get to watch half of what they show, and really you can only get so much from just reading results.Quote:

youre still 1 and 2 but that wasnt my point. you both probably have less points than you did last round at this time. i know we all didnt finish too far apart last time and right now my score is like 3-500 (cant remember) away from what my last total was with only one week left (and you dont get that many points in one week).Quote:

I was referring to the Smackdown tag straps (they're the ones up for grabs here on Smackdown and the PPV). The RAW straps mean nothing because there's nobody for Kane and The Big Show to feud with. Once The Big Show jobs to Triple H they'll probably bring in 3 Minute Warning with Bischoff to exact some revenge on the RAW roster.
They get a lot of airtime, and are pushed better than any world tag champs in the past year. They certainly help the belts out more than La Resistance did during their 90th meaningless reign.
yeah but a belt is only as good as the division it's in.....and right now there really isn't a tag division so they just "placed" them on those two. my sig applies here.Quote:

I don't care if they're french. Atleast it gives them personality. La Resistance's finished was great, and they had a pretty good chemistry together. I don't want to see a "french sympathizer" in the mix, either. None of that bullshit. Just keep it to the frenchies in Rene and Sylvan and it will be fine. They worked like a tag team and looked like a tag team, so they're automatically high in my books.Quote:

The only reason he beat Benjamin is because of his story line right now. He's in an "attitude slump". I don't particularly like the anti-American gimmick, but it's better than what Sylvan and Rene are doing right now. Leave Conway in his trash gimmick and trade Sylvan back to RAW for someone who doesn't matter like Danny Basham. (the Bashams back together for Smackdown for ANOTHER tag team)Quote:

It's such a long shot for me to take the bronze from you, Dyne, but it just might happen.
I had a feeling they'd do that. Because why wouldn't you want two belts on someone who's got a serious injury... At least the belt will probably look good on him. In other news, Earl Hebner debuted for TNA. A year ago, I never thought I'd say that.
why thinking is....why WOULD they want it on an injured person?Quote:

Toilet paper tag division.
It's been said before, the tag devision can take off again if there was just one set of belts, and we unify the shows again.
Fuck the unification of the shows. just becuase one division is in the crapper doesn't justify connecting the shows. They stil work better seperate.
I disagree. They have a slim enough roster now that it'll work better than when they first split and they had talent coming out the ass. Every week it's the same matches over and over since that's all they have to work with. No one buys that it's two separate companies, so that aspect of it has since passed. With all these interpromotional matches they've had lately, it'd be a perfect excuse to do unifications angles.Quote:

Orlando Jordan attacked a fan last night on his way to the ring at the Smackdown show in Bangor. Apparently, the fan made some kind of racial slur and Jordan saw red and slapped the guy. Also at the show they had a birthday celebration in the ring for Rey Mysterio who turned 31. The Mexicools brought out a cake which Rey tried to land on Tony Chimmel, missed, and hit some unlucky guy in the front row.
I didn't even realize I had chosen Batista and Rey. Wow. Go me.

I doubt it'll be a lawsuit, if it's true that the fan egged him on. I've gotta side with OJ on this one, I cannot defend a fan trying to start shit with a wrestler.
I understand but you figure there would be self control on OJ's part. Now if the fan hit him..thats another story. Its just one stupid fan opening his mouth and Orlando should have ignored him no matter how nasty he got.Quote:

You don't hit people who came to the arena to cheer, boo or jeer at you. They are your meal ticket and violations like this shouldn't be tolerated. If the fan physically provoked Orlando I would understand the situation. (and by physically provoke I mean hit or threw a hard object, none of this "HE THREW HIS DRINK AT ME" bullshit going around with athletes today)
Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me.
i would have punched the fucker too. people need to be responsable for their actions both ways.
It's his job to be booed and yelled at though. He is a heel.
You don't go smashing people any which way.
The fan crossed the line. Jordan was in his work place, and seemingly insulted beyond a reasonable level for his character. He responded fairly. Hell, the fan was lucky he didn't have other fans around him beat the shit out of him. Anyways, the Rock will be appearing on Impact this week, since they'll show VGA clips, which featured AJ, Jarrett, and of course, the Rock. Wonderfully misleading stuff, good work TNA.
The last TNA PPV was ass, but AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe was one of the most intense and unpredictable wrestling matches since... the last time they wrestled 5 months ago. They really stiffed the shit out of each other and showed more emotion, innovation and intensity than anyone has in the WWE for years.
Watching matches like that make Batista's insults about AJ a few months ago seem even more ridiculous. AJ's just as bad of a promo guy as Batista, but he just wrecks him when it comes to actual ring psychology that doesn't involve working a slow HHH style to tell a story, not to mention his high flying, innovation, intensity, and believability. I really think if you put Styles in a match with Batista, Styles would end up looking more credible and intense than Batista ever could despite the size difference. It's the same with Samoa Joe... even though he's 6 feet tall, he comes off way, way more scary and believable when he's charging across the ring than Kane and the Undertaker ever have while plodding around the ring.
then again its physically impossible for Batista to do what AJ does. but i know what you mean. don't take away from somebody who obviously deserves his spotlight.
A lot of guys can do the high-flying crap AJ does, but I think what people most like about him is his intensity and innovation. At least that's what stood out for me the first few times I watched him. Whereas with WWE you can see counter-moves and reversals obviously coming, AJ can just pull out the most random, unique counters to any situation that no one sees coming, and anyone could do those counters if they weren't slow idiots like Batista.Quote:

Before he was injured they surely had impact. Now though, I think he might just be trying to protect himself.
I mean his spinebuster is pretty deadly.
Jamie Noble is on this week's Velocity, and his work is a lot more crisp than it was before. He also debuted the dragon clutch in WWE with this match. Lots of sick stuff during it, and it's only a few minutes long. London and Kendrick also have a great entrance, with gold face masks.
Gold FACE MASKS? Sounds pretty gay.
They made it funny.
the new scores are up and I STILL have a 90 point lead. I gave you this thing on a silver platter, and if you don't win, shame on you.
You only have 4 smackdown guys that I don't have. I doubt that Taker and Nitro will win, so that leaves you with Batista and Benoit to bring the BIG points. You can totally do it though.
I'll HATE losing this, BTW.
I'm guaranteed 4th place no matter what happens.
If Batista and Rey win I take 3rd place. I caught up to Dyne with that last Smackdown. If Juventud wins his match I'll be in pretty good condition for a 2nd place run, although unlikely.

Update: Upon reading the results of the PPV thus far, and hearing Batista and Rey lost their match meaning their tag title win was pointless and only served to hurt MNM and Juventude lost to Kash thus furthering the feeling of the cruiserweight title being a large hunk of shit plated with gold I'm glad I didn't buy the PPV.
Chris Benoit beating Booker T was the only match I picked correctly for this PPV thus far. Fucking sucks. If Randy Orton loses I am royally fucked for 3rd.
Undertaker covered Randy Orton for the pin at the thirty minute mark.
Winner: The Undertaker.
That'll be worth the cost of the DVD, as will the amazing cruiserweight and U.S. title series matches. Damn, Juvi hasn't wrestled that well since... well, TNA. Same with Kash. I dig the name for his brainbuster (the Dead Level). A team with him and Noble could be fun. Or better yet, a feud between them, since the promos would be hilarious.

Chux, I haven't played that online in months, and I've been playing it recently to have great, gory matches between Flair and HHH, and great technical matches between Angle and Benoit. Plus, I wanted to revamp my create-a-belt guides, so I took some screen caps of the belts. Ninjas, yeah, a $14 DVD is right up there with all the shit Morphix gets. Here's the match listing for the Bloodsport ECW DVD set coming out in Feb.

I'm guessing they have to pay Raven extra... am I right?
Nah, they don't have to pay him shit, since WWE owns the footage. They just don't want to put a TNA guy on their releases if they can avoid it. Here's Silvervision's full listing for the set, including extras, and the cover.
Impressive list of extras, and I am glad they're using the TNN-era footage, finally. I can't wait to see the three way with Crazy, Guido, and Tajiri in DVD quality. The cover looks nice as well.Quote:

Don't be sour. They realized they made a mistake and rectified the situation. Your hero takes the bronze.
B-b-but Korly came in second. Raw has been pretty fun, but these shows usually are. This one has the weakest matches of amy, but it's had some neat moments, like the troops going "WWWOOOOOO!". Chuck Palumbo's brother was shown during this, which led to Chuck getting a nice mention.
HBK vs. HHH is a good match.
I know, he's silver. (aka first place loser)Quote:
