I work 3 jobs, and therefore work everyday. What little freetime I have goes to my girlfriend, or hanging with my friends. It's so bad. Whenever you think they're actually starting to get good again (new characters like Ken Kennedy, Bobby Lashley, Boogeyman, etc.) they always go and gay everything up.
Lashley has been booked in squashed every week. Boring. Ken Kennedy got injured, but before that wasn't really used too much anyway. Boring. Boogeyman's the only one who hasn't yet to be spoiled, but something tells me they're going to milk his 1 move wrestling matches for the next 2 months. Boring.
Not to mention the cruiserweight title, which actually kind of meant something on Juventud the first time he won it, is nothing. It's the title that changes hands when they want to appease the crowd. The tag titles are worthless, too, after that horrible new LOD gimmick they saddled a lost and confused Heidenreich with. Now they're on 2 superstars who work so awkwardly together you'd think comparing apples and oranges would be smoother.
I wonder if they actually sit around a boardroom table in Stamford and wonder why their ratings suck.
The sad thing is that SD has had the better WRESTLING for quite a while. Oh, and if you haven't bought the Eddie DVD yet, get it now, since WWE just re-released it. I thought they did when I saw about two dozen copies of it at Best Buy yesterday, and then today, Dave Meltzer's letters section confirms it. I just finished a massive Eddie-heavy order with WWEShop, but forgot to update the free shipping code, so it ended up costing $10 more than I expected. Oh well.
How did they re-release it? Does it have new stuff on it? I bought it at release because I was a real Eddie fan. Not one of these 'I love him after he is dead' bullshit fans.
I got a bunch in my DVD store I run, but that's because I wanted to make sure I had lots for people who came into buy it. I didn't notice if it had more things.
Are you sure it was re-released? Or maybe just stores are being smart and stocking enough to meet the demand of his fame from death? (I mean that nicely, but so many people only like people after they die.)
How was it re-released? They made a new printing. There's nothing updated, it's just a reprint of the existing set. And since BB had NONE the last time I was there, and Meltzer's statement, I'll go with them re-releasing it.
Ahhhh Eddy, sucks you died man.
Smackdown sucks so much that the main event of No Way Out will be Batista vs Kane for the Heavyweight Title. LOL.
Just because an inDemand ad says that, doesn't make it so. I doubt they'd risk Batista in a one-on-one match on PPV while he's hurt, anyway.
So Smackdown was a "best of" last night... needless to say I didn't watch it. At least we have impact! tonight.
I also watched CM Punk's "last" night in ROH DVD last night. Nice 2 disc set with some "looking back" moments. Even though I knew what happened at the end, it was still damn sweet to watch.
They've really fucked up with ken Kennedy. I know there's a rumor that he has heat with the office, but even so, the man has a busted shoulder, not a busted mouth.
A guy with that kind of talent should still be in he public eye right now. Give him a Cabana-esque talk show, make him a ring announcer, interviewer, commentator, manager, SOMETHING.
Flash back to like, 3 years ago. Randy Orton debuted as a Rocky Maivia-esque babyface, with no finisher, and no gimmick. He gets injured, and no one really cares. Then, they start running RNN (Randy News Network) updates where he keeps us apprised of his rehab progress. My shoulder is now at 37% mobility! That's up 2% from last week thanks to the sexy stewardess who gave me those extra pillows!". The most memorable RNN update was at Survivor Series where he interrupted HBKs big speech right before the first Elimination Chamber match.
Give Mr. Kennedy something like that. Hell, give him EXACTLY that if they can't think of anything else. WWE reuses old shit ALL THE TIME, so they might as well reuse something useful.
RNN Updates rocked.
I thought I was the only one that remembered/cared about RNN. The first update given was the exact moment I became a fan of his. Lately it's hard to still admit to being a fan though.Quote:

Ya know, back in '95 there was a little holiday commercial that aired on RAW and Supersars that showed Psycho Sid beating up people, and the song went something like this:
A leg-drop while you're sleeping...
Choke-slam while you're awake...
A powerbomb whether you're bad or good so RUN for heavens sake!
You better not shout, you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why...
PSYCHO SID is coming to town!
I was unable to find audio or video of it, but trust me, it was good.
FIXED (never done that before, felt this was a perfect time to do so). Really, Undertaker has just plain sucked for quite some time now, and I may still be being generous with saying 5 years. But esp. lately with his unwillingness to commit to a gimmick (he's part deadman, and still part biker) he just sucks a lot of dick.... and his refusal to job ever sucks too.Quote:

I'm not sure how WWE feels this is handling Orton's new push better than they did his last but it's pretty obvious it isn't working. Remember the concussion syndrome he had and then apparently didn't have?
The entire concept of Boogeyman vs. The Undertaker would be bad regardless of federation. It's just that ECW would probably have the foresight not to even start it to begin with.Quote:

For real though, if Taker is going into a new program, he really didn't need that win. more on angles "announcement". they removed it from the official preview for a time. don't know if they put it back up or not.
"To follow up on the earlier report about the commercial running on the USA Network this week noting that Kurt Angle will have a big announcement on RAW this Monday night, Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that Angle has a somewhat serious back injury that he has been hiding as of late.
In addition to this, reports are stating that Angle is continuing to hide problems he is experiencing with his neck and overall wear and tear on his body. Based on his current health, the general feeling is that he can't continue much longer working a full-time WWE schedule. Although not confirmed, many feel this "shocking announcement" that is being plugged by USA is that Angle will either announce he is taking an extended leave or possibly semi-retiring.
Again, these are very early reports as nothing has been confirmed at this point. One assumption that has been thrown out besides reports on an extended leave is that Angle might "renounce" his United States citizenship for storyline purposes or request some type of action regarding RAW's new General Manager. Either way, we hope to get more information about this situation in the coming days, although more might come into play this Monday night on RAW."
Kennedy looks like Christian in that shirt
no he doesn't.
i see Angle dropping out of the chamber match and HHH replacing him tonight.
"inDemand is advertising that Kane will be challenging Batista for the World Heavyweight Title at the upcoming WWE No Way Out PPV on February 19, 2006."
i still don't see why they seem to think they have nobody on SD to challenge for the belt. this kane/big show angle has been the most retarded thing in recent memory.
The main page of WWE.com says there will be a contract signing tonight between Big Show and Triple H for NYR. So, I don't think HHH will be in the chamber match.
Man was Raw ever enjoyably nuts. The Flair-Edge stuff started that, with Edge busting out a TON of names I never thought I'd hear on WWE TV, and then continued on from there with Mickie kissing Trish.
At least Masters-Chavo had some great psyhcology, and the Michaels-Vince stuff was intriguing, even though it was a massive waste of time, since it'll likely never build to a match, and even if it did, it would be Michaels-Vince, which no one wants to see. I can't imagine Vince's "don't make me screw you, too" comment helping out the terrible locker room morale any, either. Mama Benjamin debuts next week, and I'm having visions of Judy Bagwell's amazing run in WCW already. The TNA chant during the main event made me mark out.
WWE/TNA news -
Samoa Joe is renegotiating his TNA deal, and is only making $500-$750 a shot.
Johnny Ace wants to bring Joe in as the top heel that Rikishi couldn't be.
"Jesus" Aaron Aguilera, Palumbo, and Haas are coming back.
Jeff Hardy is making $2,000 a shot for TNA, and text messaged Jeff Jarrett before missing the last PPV, since he overslept.
Nick Dinsmore is in Deep South, and is out of rehab.
I skipped RAW this week. doesn't look like I missed too much. I enjoy how Kurt Angle's "announcement" was just a regular Angle promo.
WOW. If WWE scores Joe over TNA they have no one to blame but themselves. To lowball a talent like Samoa Joe is incredibly short-sighted and dumb. Nice to see TNA is just like WWE in this regard, although maybe not because it looks like WWE is really going after Samoa Joe now.Quote:

Here's the lineup for Christohper Daniels' DVD.
That's one loaded DVD. Shit, just the AMW-XXX series is worth the cost of the DVD. It'll be out on 1/10. Slammiversary, Sacrifice, and Unbreakable MIGHT be made available in a three-pack, like Victory Road, Turning Point, and Lockdown were. Thus continuing TNA's streak of offering up a ton of great wrestling for very little money. The best of the bloodiest brawls DVD appears to be an entirely new disc, not a rerelease, as it's set to have an image of Sabu from the barb wire massacre on the cover. Team 3D and Christian Cage shirts will be made available soon as well.Quote:
Daniels’ TNA debut match (July 2002) vs. Low Ki vs Elix Skipper vs Kid Romeo vs Tony Mamaluke vs Jerry Lynn
A complete chronicle (8 matches!) of the Triple X vs. America’s Most Wanted wars, including their battles at the Nashville Asylum, the 2003 Cage Match, their 2004 “Best of 3” Series, as well as the Turning Point cage match.
The “Ironman Match” between Daniels and AJ Styles from Against All Odds
The Ultimate X Match against AJ Styles where The Fallen Angel won the X Division Championship
Hard Justice bout vs. Shocker and the Lockdown match vs. Elix Skipper
Slammiversary three-way against Matt Bentley and Chris Sabin
Plus, “iMPACT!” matches against AJ Styles, Chris Harris, Chris Sabin, Jerrelle Clark (his first match as X Champion), “Primetime” Elix Skipper and more. Bonus footage on the DVD will be The Fallen Angel’s entrance music and photo gallery (nearly 100 pics!), as well as Daniels providing commentary for one of his first matches from 1994 with Chicago’s Windy City Wrestling promotion!
You do this with everything ever released. "Just the [blank] makes it worth it." No shit. If there wasn't something at all worthwhile on anything, no one would buy things.Quote:

Judging by Grisham calling a TNA fan a retard during Byte This, I'll go with Vince just having the chant edited out of any future showings of that segment.
Vince was asking for it by saying "there's nowhere else to go... there's no WCW anymore." You can't make a statement like that and at least expect SOMEONE to say "TNA" or something else.
Seriously TNA is not fucking compeitition. They have one show in a shitty timeslot.
No it's competition. Not viable competition yet, but competition nontheless.Quote:

Spike TV and TNA are paying Sting FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND A YEAR to be a full-time guy. TNA is viewed as competition by WWE, if they weren't, they wouldn't have hammered them on trademarks right when the Spike TV deal hit. Nor would they have done that baseball player appearance on the Cutting Edge.
Tna will be competition.
WWE has been around for decades. TNA is still a baby.
Smackdown was pretty "meh" tonight, except for Benoit/Orton... this was a GREAT match, and reminds me of why I like Orton so much.
Fuck the match, Booker T's commentary was the best thing on the show.
Um, yeah.. it was good, it was entertaining... but it was during said match, so yeah.. I win :) heh. Seriously... I watch for WRESTLING, so funny/good commentary is just icing.Quote:

I'm sure TNA wil someday become a problem for Vince. Right now though I'm pretty sure his biggest concern is getting all the money he lost when he moved to USA back.
Gonzo, that was Christy Hemme, not Marlena, and it's just an online rumor without any real basis right now. I'm sure there's something to it though, since she was preparing to go to OVW to improve, and was just cut out of nowhere. It could just be them wanting to cut her the second they could, since they weren't keen on paying her $250,000 a year. Same thing happened with Daniel Puder. TNA is a problem for Vince, but not a big one. The Spike TV deal really made them a threat in his eyes, since WWE let them slide with all sorts of shit before they got that deal. Don't forget, Impact is on at 8 PM EST tonight for one hour, and then again at midnight for "the first match of the new year" for 30 minutes. In actual news, Animal's son will be opening in the Fiesta Bowl.
Say... did anything ever come of that supposed "Rise and Fall of ECW" and "One Night Stand" PPV (or whatever it was called) being released as a set? I looked on Amazon, but they didn't have anything about it.
"Hardy Fears PPVs" sign and the "Boring!" chants during Jarrett's promo were the highlights of midnight TNA Impact tonight. Points also to AJ Styles for always doing the top-rope somersault move so perfectly while Shelton Benjamin botches it every other time.
Shidoshi, they nixed that. Monty Brown's new attire ruled on Impact, and Jarrett's looked cool as well. They need to keep Gayda away from the mic. Forever. The 8PM Impact was okay, but worse than last week's show. I'm glad to see Homicide in TNA, but I hope he doesn't get in the ring before his shoulder is healthy. Both editions of Impact will air in the replay's timeslot, and Spike might be showing older TNA shows at some point in the future.
Do you like how his new tights snug up against his firm buttox, too, Jeremy? Happy New Years!!

Hunter fucked up his bit with the big show too, as I'm sure the table was supposed to collapse from Show hitting it, and not HHH fumbling around like a scared little bitch.
It seems that way, but they worked things out in spite of the screw up. Cena's blade job was the main highlight of the show for me, although Torrie's innovative dog ass attack on Maria cracked me up. Mama Benjamin wasn't as bad as I thought she'd be. If we're lucky, it'll just kill Shelton's credibility in WWE, and not in wrestling as a whole. If we're REALLY lucky, Mama Benjamin will bring Haas in to get Shelton back to his winning ways.
yeah there's been rumors of Haas coming back to Raw. mebbe the two of them will beat Kane/Big Show?
I doubt it, but it would be nice to see. In Kane-related news, his movie will be released in theaters and on DVD on the same day. Interesting approach, although I can't help but feel it's just being done to provide a scapegoat for it bombing in theaters.
"During WWE's Unlimited segments, the company is teasing Trevor Murdoch has homosexual tendencies. "
ummmm...what? and whats the point to wwe unlimited if they always show what happened during the commercial breaks most of the time? seems pointless to me.

Highlights: "Eddie Guererreo was lik a pastor to everyone in the locker room" Was offered a contract by UFC prior to joining WWE and if he knew then what he knows now, he would have went with the UFC. Said the toughest opponent he has faced is the Undertaker and that he wants to end his winning streak at Wrestlemania (spoiler????) Thanks guys and keep up the good work
I love the whole Sting ordeal. The guy has been out of wrestling 5 years and his name barely draws. Half a million is an obsurd amount to get him to come in. That's exactly how WCW worked. They paid people tons of money to come in and they offered little in return.
TNA better get their heads out of their asses and realize people aren't interested in TNA because everyone jobs to Jarrett and nobody likes Jarrett to begin with. The only reason he is heel is because nobody would cheer him.
Sting was already in TNA a couple of years ago, and we see how much of a draw he was then.
yup. jonas doesn't know what he's saying. he even went back tot he original paint then didn't he?Quote:

Sting doesn't equal ratings because frankly he is WCW and nobody cares about WCW anymore.
Sting was an effective draw for the WWA, and he never did anything on a regular basis with TNA before this, so it's hard to say that he was or wasn't a draw.
You know exactly what TNA want and they aren't going to get that by paying washed up wrestlers half a million dollars to help them.
On another note: WWE Fantasy 6 sign ups are now online. Get over there and do it. No excuses.
TNA wants Sting to increase interest in their product, to help get their guys over, and to increase buys. Thus far, Sting has done the first thing before, and now. Time will tell if the last two things happen. Given what TNA AND Spike TV are paying him, I'm hopeful that Sting will do whatever's asked of him.
Random note since I know no one here ever watches Velocity: Burchill finally debuted his one man Spanish Fly finisher this week.. you might have to catch it in the archives since saturday is when they update to the new episodes.
