Wow, forcing the contentiously feuding pair into a tag-match. Couldn't see that one coming, Vince. Also, I'm hoping that ham-handed shill for Main Event was intentionally cheesy.
why did you do that 3 times?
To your mom? Because she liked it so much.
What's your point? There are always joke gimmicks in WWE and wrestling in general. You differenciate joke gimmicks by how entertaining they are, and the Spirit Squad members are entertaining during their matches because the use trampolines and stuff like that.Quote:

The main event for SNME only really works as dramatic tension for Orton and Rey, who have the heavy feud going into WM. That kiss my ass segment was the gayest thing since Judge Vince, with Chris Masters as Vince's dream baliff (young, oiled up, and shirtless). Shawn coming down in that tanktop underneath his sports jacket actually butched it up a bit. In an industry built around grown men writhing around on the mat in their underwear, that segment was gay.
I think Shawn's wife actually dresses him.

DC hates Cena, for reals.
last night was a completely pointless raw.
I loved Triple H's promo last night and besides saying to Cena that he's not a good wrestler he also said the following great line, "Excuse me if I'm not afraid of the guy who's one big move is pumping up his Reeboks." I loved it. Cena didn't say anything worth a damn and boy did the crowd just ate up everything HHH said.Quote:

This is exactly what happened. Pop for the entrance, by the time he got in the ring, the little kids were wore out and the louder crowd started yelling some harsh shit. I say Cena keeps the belt at Mania the crowd flips the fuck out he gets super heat turns heel, then drops the belt at the next PPV. Have him in a program with HHH for like 2 months then have him injured or something so he's off tv for 2-3 months he'll come back and everybody will be like OMFG CENA <3.Quote:

The Rock won everyone over with his mic work and personality (his then new heel character with all the catchphrases and stuff). Not sure if males will every buy into Cena unless he changes his whole character. Its painful to hear Cena start to counter something Triple H says with "Yo Homey"..ugh.
cena is still champ and face only because of his merchandise sales. his shit sells like hotcakes for the wwe.
and somebody explain "shoot". i've heard it used so many different ways here i'm beginning to wonder if half the people here knows what it means.
Last I heard shoot was OOC.
I think it's based on the fact that he's such a phony baloney character.Quote:

No, see, Cena was actually entertaining when they let him freestyle to the ring. The crowd loved him then, nowadays he's a Mickey Mouse version of his former self. He ends matches with the same 3 or 4 move combination, he never raps anymore and he's entirely lost his edge, the one that made him entertaining (and popular) to begin with.Quote:

So long as he raps and wins the fans over by actually being entertaining then he'll probably have a bit more success with the fans. I mean, these are the same fans that cheered him during his first "thug" year on Smackdown. The whole thing, though, is that he's not the same character.Quote:

My initial thought was that the WWE and Eddie could both be in trouble for faking his death. But after talking to someone who used to watch wrestling they brought up this point.
WWE is a show like a soap opera. If a character dies on a soap it is mentioned on the show (like WWE). Granite, news agencies (Yahoo, ESPN) don't report the death of a character on say Guiding Light, but they may have believed it (Eddie's death) was real being as wrestling has never stooped to this level, so they reported this. With that being said, they wouldn't know any better so they don't retract their report. At the same time, WWE isn't going to say he's really alive, it's part of a storyline, because they want it to be a surprise.
I don't believe now that the WWE could get in trouble (with the government) as this is a show and they can say that it was part of the storyline. A storyline that some of the wrestlers may or may not have known about.
Remember one of the last gimmicks of Eddie's, "Lie, Cheat, Steal". This is, well, one big lie. I'm not saying that I think he's alive, but I'm not ruling it out.
I just wanted to get your thoughts on that. After all you guys here are more intelligent smarks than on IMDb.com.
just stop it already.
Wholesome is a great way to describe it. When Cena first started his rapping gimmick it was entertaining because it was apparent that he was a huge parody of the typical bling-bling rapper. He was entertaining because he would come to the ring and entertain people with his freestyling and antics. (deez nuts, you can't see me, etc.)Quote:

Once he started yelling "THIS IS HOW WE DO!" and began taking himself too seriously he lost the crowd. The fact that he has five moves to his name didn't help the situation either.
I'm sure he's just in a safe house somewhere hanging out with Cobaine, Elvis, and 2-Pac. Seriously, fuck off with this shit.Quote:

According to sources, Jannetty once again screwed up at the wrong time.

Jannetty had been brought in to enhance the Shawn Michaels/McMahon angle. Jannetty has "battled his personal demons" in the past and was looking to try to redeem himself."

Taker sucks. I can't believe they're gonna bore me at Wrestlemania with Taker/Henry. :(
This is really shaping up to be one of the worst Wrestlemanias of all time. I really don't have a single match I really care to see.
Taker's been on a roll since becoming semi-active again, and the pump splash from Henry along with the tombstone to Henry from a couple of weeks back have made me more excited about their match at 'Mania than the Raw main event. Impact had some decent stuff tonight, but none of it was really in the ring. The Shelley cam video ruled, again, although he had fewer great lines tonight. Sting had some humorous ones, and the look on the heels when the tape was done was priceless. Shelley stole the show with, "it crossed my mind...".
The World's Greatest Managers DVD (please give us Fuji Vice and TONS of Heenan!) and Dusty Rhodes DVD (which is a nice surprise) both drop on 6/6. Dusty's will rule since they now own basically his whole in-ring career and can do him justice.
Guess it's all about the dance and poka-dots.
We've already been over this, twice, Jeremy. Nobody cares about Dusty Rhodes.Quote:

Superstar Billy Graham is on WOL now, and his daughter was in a horrible car crash yesterday. She's fine now, thankfully. Dave talked about the Montreal screwjob earlier; it's amazing how much of that he has engrained in his brain. Now Billy's telling some stories about his time with Ah-nold, and how he took Billy's mother to a show to see Billy wrestle, and the fans destroyed Graham's car. He's friends with two Governers in Ventura and Arnold. He's known Arnold since he first came to the country. Before that, he talked about how the Rock cried when he read through his book and watched the DVD.
Now he's telling some sad news about Blackjack Mulligan. He's paranoid about dying any day now, and whenever his son comes over, he goes out the backdoor. Damn. Now Dave's running down a small list of the guys that Superstar influenced - Hogan, Ventura, Patera, Idol, Ellering, Scott Steiner, and more. Now a story is being told of Lanza insulting the Hell out of Heenan during his HOF speech, which was edited off the DVD; it had Heenan's daughter in tears when she heard it, and Heenan called it the most embarassing night of his life.
A caller asked about how Graham works out now without the steroids, and he says he's taking testosterone replacement drugs since the steroids put his regular testosterone to sleep as his doctor put it. He's 72 now; wow! They're getting into the '80s road schedules, and Graham talks about how Herc's wife told him that he did 89 straight days on the road, while Billy Jack Haynes did 60, while Hillbilly Jim did about 50 days straight, while Bret did over a month. He told another story about Bob Windham (Mulligan) where he offered to drive to his home from Tampa to see him, but Mulligan's wife told him that if he came, he'd just run. Graham says he talked to J.R. and that J.R. won't be inducting Bret into the HOF.
They're now getting into Stacy Keibler potentially leaving WWE, and how the Torch seemingly lied about her saying negative things about wrestling. Dave goes into how she's been around folks who are used to better treatment, and how they were stunned at how shitty wrestlers are treated. Billy says that she owed WWE for her worldwide exposure, but nothing else. He says that it's crazy that someone running a computer in Titan gets insurance and health coverage while the people risking their health for the industry don't get anything. He calls it a travesty, but that Stacy does owe WWE for her success. Dave says she owes them for the end of her contract, but that he hopes she does well in Hollywood without bashing wrestling. They get into how the Rock loves wrestling, and how Stacy will probably not forget where she came from. Now he ribs Daniel Puder saying he can't follow THE SUPERSTAR.
They get into how Kennedy did the OVW intros for Puder, stating that "this bout has a 20 minute time limit, but trust me, it won't take that long". Hahaha, awesome. Puder's doing a fight on the biggest non-UFC show in the States. This is his first MMA fight since a fight in Japan about 2 1/2 years ago. Puder says that he enjoyed his time in WWE, but was pissed off that he got released in spite of doing everything they told him to do. He talks about how nuts Cena's schedule is, and how he was at home for 1 day in an entire month, and Dave says he's probably done that for many months, since he's got the hardest schedule of anyone now.
Time for the Angle question from a caller, yay! He praises Kurt, and says that he was probably released for what he did to Kurt. Dave talks about how they blew massive money by not taking advantage of that big TV moment, and how it could have been one of the biggest deals in wrestling history. Puder says he doesn't think Angle would have tapped, and that he would have prefered to have his arm broken rather than tap. Puder says that the Miz is weak, and that'd kick his head off. Puder says that the production guys (camera and stuff) were betting on him to win every week, awesome. He says that Eddie, Holly, and Heidenreich helped him out, but that Holly ended up taking him under his wing. The TE guys hated him right after the Angle thing. Some TE guys tore down his posters in a supplement store out of jealousy. In OVW, he was Ken Kennedy's roomate, and says he was a cool guy. He praises Heyman to no end for having faith in him, and says he should be in charge of Raw and SD. He says that Heyman revived the old-school heel when he turned Johnny Jeter heel and there were fans outside ready to stab him. Go Jeter! A caller asks the great question of "why have Tough Enough when they just release everyone who wins?", which gets a great laugh from Dave and some analysis from Puder who says that it takes years to learn how to properly learn how to wrestle and work. Puder says that if he had someone on the house shows teach him, he probably could have done stuff in WWE.

Raw was meh tonight. Could've have been better.
Right now on the Heat and Velocity webcasts the E are showing a bunch of classic footage from SNME on Heat and other big moments on Velocity.
What a terrible Raw that was. Thank God for Impact and SD.
Problem with raw is that there is no midcard. Unlike Sd which has multiple storylines, all ranging from average to great RAw only has a dozen or so people people who matter and nothing else. No damn Tag division, No roster for Shelton to have a believeable program with(Lets face it. After he feuds with RVD, who is he going to face?)
If WWE creative team has any sense they will not have a draft, they will break up the spirit squad into tag teams and single players, Retool Nick dinsmore and build up a fucking midcard. If shit like this continues on Raw after WM the only wrestling I will be following is Smackdown.(Yes I'll drop TNA too,but that's a different matter...)
If it is, it'll be the biggest LOL-fest ever.Quote:

The Nimbus just broke into the top 3! Congratulations Nimbus. Now, wake up Chux! Let's make this a legit 4 way race. Only 2 or 3 weeks left!
This is the second time I've broke the top 3. Me and Chux are battling for 3.
I think it's funny, too. Because for the last 2 weeks straight I haven't updated my picks. Of course, I did have pretty solid picks (consistent) so it didn't hurt me too much. But the first week that I missed updating my picks I broke top 3. Chux took it back last week.
I forgot to change my roster again. Luckily it's a pretty solid one.
Behold Alex Wright against David Young (with a mullet) - the dancing from Wright is hilarious, and I admit, I used to do that, thinking it was cool. Dusty steals the commentary in this one (IS THAT DICK MURDOCH!?"), and Solie has some great bits too on Alex dancing - "Alex Wright with... whatever".

I thought that was awesome.
