It's smart though. I think GTA is going to be such a massive game that people won't even care about anything else until then.

Mercs > GTA
Maybe so, but the fact that the handling of the cars seems more in tune with a real racer (ie robust physics) means that driving around aimlessly with a few players (hopefully) will be a lot of fun.
Biff: Thats....not true. GTA is polished and refined in so many more areas than Mercenaries was. But I still loved me some Mercs. I'm saddened by this delay but I think we've all been expecting it for alittle while now. Give em more time to finish it right, then make sure it blows up shit real fucking good.
GTA doesn't hold shit compared to Mercs.
Pretty much, the only thing that bothered me was the horrible fog the pervaded the entire game. The lack of fog is the number one reason I'm looking forward to the new one.
I'm ok with it coming out in summer. That gives me plenty of time to play GTA 4 and eventually Lost Odyssey. Summer's usually a slow time for games anyway.
Mercenaries has better on-foot controls and graphics. It's the more polished game but it doesn't have the same intensity in car chases as the 3d GTA games, as much open-endedness in how to complete missions from what I have found, and it doesn't have as much personality.
