No because EA had nothing to do with the development of this game until agreeing to publish it, and then buying the company. Maybe they are at fault for pushing for a release after having it delayed an entire year, but I don't know.

They had at least some input on the development, as the PC version didn't appear until after EA bought BioWare/Pandemic.
Either way, it's not as if EA walked in and said "HEY, MAKE THIS SUCK SHIT" then forced complete retractions of established gameplay pacing and ideals. We can lay that blame squarely on Pandemic.

Bought it when my dad did and played it on co-op last night. We had zero problems dropping into a game and blowing things up.
Aside from all the knocks against it, it DOES feel like Mercs 1 with a new coat of paint. However Mercs 1 was a blast for me, so this is pretty good stuff. One of those just-for-fun games I can tear into without a large interest or attention investment.
Bought this for my g/f. I'm not impressed but she thinks i'm being to highbrow about it. She finds it fun and easy. I find it effortless and silly. But it is fun.
