There will be no 360 price drop. That I do believe. I can see them dropping the core pack for sure though. 360 will sell more than Xbox just based on the fact its actually cheaper hardware than the competition.

Games just looking nicer doesn't equal spending $500-$600. Will they sell out? Sure. Few are saying they won't. Many are saying they won't buy it for that price. I bought two 360's for $698 (one premium, one retard pack for my office), 3 wireless controllers and 7 games so far. I spend a fuckton on video game stuff so I'm not a cheap bastard but I just can't swallow $600 for a console.
Also I can't tell from the pictures but doesn't it look like a "PS" button in the middle of the controller? Does anyone know if that's an actual button like the Xbox 360 guide button?
Overall it seems like Sony is following 360 and Wii's lead on stuff like online infrastructure, portable interoperability and controller design. The only thing they are bringing to the table that's original it seems is "true" HD which is total bullshit marketing and a $600 price tag.
Oh and I also bought a $2,000 HDTV last year (50" Samsung DLP) that does 720p/1080i ... fuck you Sony for trying to tell me that my shit isn't "true" HD when 1080p isn't even a real standard yet.

No fucking way. Only game that showed anything nice for me was Heavenly Swords. There was way too much cut scene style visuals shown in 90% of what they showed. I'm bored with Metal Gear and haven't played a Final Fantasy since 9 (12 looks okay... I guess). I like things like Gears of War because it's atleast a fresh IP. Gran Turismo is boring.
