Sure it is. EB is a company of lying fucks and I was part of that machine for four years. I know first hand how often they'd set a release date and then change it the day of release.
They may have correct release dates a majority of the time, but they're not the end-all-be-all.

No it isn't. Payroll does not maintain the release list.

Since its not October 9th, EB didnt change the release date of SPM the day of release, did they?

That's just sad. Although it explains a lot. I'd probably be whiny and bitter about videogames if I'd worked there a month, let alone over half a decade.

Why is it sad? I started there in high school and worked there in my vacation time during college (and weekends my Freshman year). My last day there coincided with my return to school for my final (half) year. Now I have a real job, a career if you will, and my experience at EB gave me a lot of tools that are helping me now.

Also, who doesn't work retail during high school? Is anyone here gonna be like LAWL you worked at McDonalds/The Gap/Best Buy/whatever? You guys are making fools out of yourselves. A job is a job and Ill take EB over most you can get in HS.

When has Bungie ever willingly missed a Q4 release date. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were released in november I think, and a lot of people say Halo 2 needed more time.

Both games were scheduled to be released the November before, though. In Halo 1's case a couple of Novembers before.

Matt C. over at IGN recently let slip that Nintendo's Super Paper Mario, originally slated as a GameCube title, has been moved to Wii. He wasn't able to comment on this further, so the reasons for the move are unclear at this point.

I just hope it is for the best. I really don't want them to shoe-horn Wiimote controls onto this unless it is going to make the game a better experience.
