Golden Axe: Beast Rider

I totally thought it was gonna be After Burner.

Ugh. That does not seem like a developer worthy of Golden Axe. I'm sure it will be better than D3's game though.

If it's a Gauntlet ripoff, I can't totally complain because it'll be a new game of that genre that me and 3 friends will gladly play together. Hell, if we can put hours and hour into Dark Legacy, I'm sure we can with this too.

I do agree on Return of Death Adder being unlockable though.

I'm not really excited. Secret Level's GA may well be better than the D3 remake, but that itself is not too hard to do. It could still be a different level of suckage.

Sega, why the Hell are you putting this franchise in such jeopardy? This is sacrilege. "Alex, I'll take Butchered Franchises for $400".

If anything she's wearing more clothes than ever(assuming that is Tyris). I really like the character design even though I never would have guessed it to be from a Golden Axe game.

After a long deliberation period on company time I came to the conclusion that she was a Puerto Rican - Irish mix until I noticed the feather protruding from her golden reddish locks. Now I don't know what the fuck is up in that thing.

This game is going to be so shallow.

Why did everyone hate this game so much? I played the first 2 levels and I'm having fun chaining the combo and doing counters/dodges/reflects. It's no Arkham Asylum, but it's OK. Totally worth the $3 it goes for now at Gamestop.

No co-op seems to be the most common complaint, and general mediocrity.
I suspect most game reviewers never played the original GA enough to realize that it's arguably a better game in single player mode because of how the AI works.

I could see that. It sounds like a better game than X-Blades or Blades of Time, and yet it got much worse reviews.

I like Blades of Time more than Beast Rider but yeah, I think reviews went extra harsh on the latter because of its series.

this was totally my take, though not as big a disappointment as The Duel must've been when people were hoping for Revenge of Death Adder.
