The "Ask a Ninja" guy was pushing this, so I figured it was more serious than "BRING FIREFLY BACK AND MAKE IT HAPPEN ON MY FRONT LAWN" or other, similar e-rallying cries.
Apparently Congress is pushing a law that would let ISPs block, restrict, or slow access to whatever sites they want in order to push shit for which they receive kickbacks. Ridiculous.
Has anyone seen this before? How serious is this?
Can't ISPs already do this?

Considering the pushback the potential legislation is receiving I'd say its not going anywhere.
ACtually I'm with the corporations on this. Why're we infringing on a corporatation's right to do what they please with their own equipment. I mean wouldn't that be like a corporation telling us what we should do with our CDs and computers?
