i think the last 2D fighting game series we have left is guilty gear now? i don't even like guilty gear, though.

Well that and King of Fighters XI, but so far SNK hasn't announced when (or if) that will come to the US.

Guilty Gear XX Reload is fucking great. I don't like how the series keeps getting rehashed, but hey, tis the nature of the beast.

I haven't played Slash yet, but I wouldn't say any of the games as of yet have really been rehashes. Maybe X+, but as far as I know it didn't come home. I've been playing them since a friend brought the original for PS and ended up obsessed with it, heh, that had to be around 8th grade or so. The first game to X was a huge jump, X to XX was a huge jump as well. #Reload has significant balance changes and makes Robo-Ky a real character, so I don't really think any of the upgrades have been unnecessary.

Isuka sucked, though.

I agree from X to XX. It's kind of the "Super Guilty Gear X."
However, everything afterwords really is a rehash. Ballance issues and a new character here or there do not a full game make. It's an upgrade.

...not to say I wouldn't buy them.
