Hopefully better than the last game?
Why isn't Sandman in red!?!
wtf are 'arcades'?
The profile pics (by the lifebar) are inconsistant in style, all the sprites are from existing games (though, thats normal Capcom for ya), and the backgrounds are all almost entirely from the first game. I spotted one from Capcom vs. SNK 2 :(
Considering all of the CFJ assetts are available to download for MUGEN, I'm pretty sure that's all this is, a CFJ-inspired MUGEN mod.
PWNED
Nevermind those other fake videos by the same guy. Yawn. Nothing to see here. Even if there was a CFJ2, why should you care?Quote:

At least they finally realized that mixing a bunch of different styles together into one pile of shit wasn't going to work and created a uniform super guage.
Still, this game will probably be a piece of shit. Bring out MvC3 already, assholes.
*yawn*

Hey, no worries. If you really want to play an uninteresting fighting game that doesn't bring anything new to the table this year, KOF Neowave is out in the US for Xbox now.
Despite the uninteresting character choices (for the most part), uninspired music and static backgrounds...Capcom Fighting Jam had a really solid fighting engine underneath it and begged for a sequel with a better roster and better production values. That'll probably never happen, but I had at least a little hope when I first saw the title of this thread.
if that's an actually leaked and legitimate promo video, then it's one of the most amateurish/horribly cut promo vids i've ever seen.
This coming from someone with DoA Ultimate in his sig.Quote:

I never saw a point to get into the first game, but then again Dudley vs Balrog kinda interests me.
LOL at Morrigan.
Fake. Close thread.
Yes, it is obviously fake. Look what other videos are on the side-bar of the web page.
Why is Sandman able to create a thread anyway, mods?
Oh, and Sandman, fuck off for getting my hopes up with your shitty thread.
Man. I can't believe somebody would waste their time making such an elaborate trailer for a fake sequel to a game nobody gave a a shit about.
I agree with digitalalchemy that CFJ had a really solid engine...it's a shame there was nothing new and the presentation sucked. That didn't stop me from buying it a few weeks ago when I saw it'd hit the $20 mark, though. I'm such a tool. :x
Yeah, one look at that tells you it's fake. Geez.Quote:

You sign up in '02, and you decide to make your first post a thread containing a fake trailer to a game nobody cares about?Quote:

Another reason it looked amateurish was that some of the character names were all caps ("DUDLEY", "ALEX") and most were not. This has to be a Mugen job. As soon as I saw reference to a KOF "Geowave" I called fake. The Metal Slug alien (seen fighting Ryo) has no business in a KOF game.
Maybe he spent those 4 years making that trailer.Quote:

In all fairness, the original CFJ trailer and the attract video of SFAC are both as poorly edited as this is.
It's still definitely fake, though.
I'd play it.
Actually looks kinda neat, though characters keep blocking mid-combo which makes the game look really buggy. And Strider Hien is in it! So sad it's not real...
The best part is they used a Overclocked Remix.
this is a reason i wanted to like the original more...and i wish more time was put into it. most of these characters like guy (all time alpha series fave), ibuki, fei long...you won't see them in the big tittles like mvc or vs snk games. they're almost allways overlooked in these games. i dunno why, though. i know it's nice to have a pic of ken and ryu and akuma....and dan and sean and kyo and iori and all of those popular/familiar characters but it gets tiring. if it's real or not, i still hope that some of the overlooked characters get a decent game to be in....some day.Quote:

It's possible they pasted her head on Sakura and did some work on the animation.
I wanna belive it's real, but no dice until the annoucement is official.
Well isn't Strider Hein a MUGEN only character? That gave it away for me.
Sucks too...I was pretty excited when I clicked the thread. :(
I suppose MUGEN works good enough. Screw Capcom for making me wait.
MvC and MvC2.Quote:

Don't get me wrong, in a perfect world Capcom would still be putting as much (if not more) effort into 2D hand drawn games as they do their 3D ones, but that time is clearly past. 2D is dead.
2D isn't dead. 2D fighting is dead.
i think the last 2D fighting game series we have left is guilty gear now? i don't even like guilty gear, though.
Nobody does.
Please provide me with a list of all the amazing 2D console and arcade games slated for release in the upcoming year. Oh, right, you can't.Quote:

Well that and King of Fighters XI, but so far SNK hasn't announced when (or if) that will come to the US.Quote:

I've been playing them since a friend brought the original for PS and ended up obsessed with it, heh, that had to be around 8th grade or so. The first game to X was a huge jump, X to XX was a huge jump as well. #Reload has significant balance changes and makes Robo-Ky a real character, so I don't really think any of the upgrades have been unnecessary.Quote:

...not to say I wouldn't buy them.
I don't think anyone who's not a fan would buy two versions of XX, let alone 3, but I never had a problem with it. Then again, they're all on different platforms. XX on PS2, #R on Xbox, and #R on PSP. Considering the PSP version can easily be had for $20 or so on eBay, and the Xbox version launched at $20 here, even purchasing them as upgrades won't hurt that bad. Plus the PC version is... very reasonably priced at certain... stores. Here's hoping Slash comes out for PC too.Quote:
