This and that midnight dusk detective (ok I don't know the real name) looks interesting, the other one more so though.

Persona 2, Princess Crown 2, Rule of Rose, Devil Summoner, Summon Night, Yggdra Union, plus a few others.
I wish the DS would get some games. It's like a desert on this thing.
I know, seriously. OMG could you collect any more dust DS?
I love DS.
Touch dick!
HAHAHAHAHAHA OH MAN THAT IS CLEVER
Also this looks pretty cool. Never expected it to come over so it's a pleasant surprise.
I'm sorry. I know it was stupid, but someone had to say it sooner or later.
No. No, they did not.
No.
Started this. The main girl's animations are cute (e.g. when she gets out of bed in the morning and smooths her dress), as is her tendency to space out during conversations with her thoughts appearing on the top screen. But I feel like she needs more personality. Maybe some sound samples? And the whole premise doesn't feel fleshed out at all. You start the game, and bam, there you are, no setup. Even the booklet is among the thinnest I can ever remember.
I need to play more, still haven't finished the first episode.
The first and second episode are the best.
I even saw this at Wal*Mart for $30. Atlus must have somebody sleeping with Wal*Mart's buyers.
Me likey.
Review copy. Review is up at GN if you're so inclined. But your opinion is similar to mine; the game's a disappointment but the the characters and visuals are so unique, you kinda want to stick with it.

Also, where is your avatar from?
Heard about him a few days ago. One of the underground greats.
Started this last night.
It's not as deep as other point and clicks but it's a fun little distraction and the art style was worth the cost of admission.
I'm so torn on this. I love the art style but it sucks that the gameplay sounds disappointing.
Games like that piss me off. Saga Frontier 2's watercolor visuals were mindblowing but the actual game made me want to snap the CD in half.
Saga Frontier 2 is retarded and unplayable. Touch Detective is an unambitious graphic adventure you can play mindlessly for a while.
The game's Japanese website might be suggesting a sequel:

Picked this up after Christmas and want to try it after Castlevania and finishing up Contact. *-neo
Is this game worth $14.99?
I haven't played part 2 but part 1 was most definitely worth playing as long as you like games of the point and click variety. It has quirky humor and a silly story but I found it really fun.
I didn't care for the first game at all. Nothing besides the art stood out for me. I would rather play a DS adventure like Trace Memory.
I just got finished playing the first one. And it was ok was nothing special. The story kinda seemed to kiddy and weird. I wanna play the second one, but I wonder if it's more of the same.
Oh please, in the name of all that is holy, do not buy this game.
I read the negative reviews. Then I thought, "Well, maybe they just don't like point-and-click adventures like I do."
Well, the critical panning was most justified. I just finished barreling through this pig of a game, and I'm a much worse person for it. The pure, concentrated stupidity that went into its creation has shattered my soul in an indescribable manner.
Give solid examples or GTFO.
The constant pixel-hunting wasn't enough for ya? This wasn't just a one-time or two-time occurrence, mind you. The nonsensical nature of the puzzles made the game more of a chore than a mystery.
This issue is only compounded by the fact that the game's music and art direction were excellent. It would be one thing if the game had sucked outright, but it seems more of a tragedy that the entire experience could have been something extremely special, if not for the absolutely horrible gameplay.
Anything else? Nothing you've said flags me off away from picking this up. Sounds like at-worst a b-grade 1991 PC game.
I don't know if I trust you.
You're apparently a bad person.Quote:

Pig of a game?
The second is more enjoyable than the first, but it's still similar in the wandering around without knowing what you're really doing. Following the case of the missing noodles was worth the trouble.
Okay, maybe I could have done better than "pig." Let me put it this way:
Touch Detective is like the really hot chick that you've been wanting to bang for a year. Well, imagine you finally get her attention, wine her, dine her, take her back to your place... only to learn that she sucks dick with all the care and affection of a garbage disposal.
As Finch said, expect lots of clueless meandering. This will eventually devolve to a level of pixel-tapping in every room of the game, desperately searching for a trigger to move the story forward.
And it will happen more than once. It will also happen more than ten times. I promise.
I take it you didn't like it either? Even after the pink text and hearts?
lol, I just used the Cute tags, noob. And I didn't get very far. But what I played wasn't particularly impressive, no.
B-but the second game outweighs its annoying factor with its charm! Just keep access to Gamefaqs nearby. and some towels to put in an oven should you be near a church.
Oops. It is TD 2-1/2 that's actually on sale at GS this week for 14.99
So that's the "good" one, then?
I was really hoping that the second game would fix all the problems of the first. I remember reading in an interview with the developers that they were aware of the complaints people had, and they were supposedly working to fix them.
I'll probably pick it up (when it's uber-cheap) just to see for myself, but the reviews aren't too promising.
Well, it doesn't, it just cranks the charm up to compensate for the hours of trying to figure out the next advance trigger.
Micro Center has the first for $10. I bit.
I would have been very upset buying this at full price, but it's a fun, $10 diversion with lots of~ kawaii desu ~
to keep me going.
