for that much you shouldn't have to settle for integrated graphics imo. They're cute little word processors though. And um, $200 for an extra 20gb on the HD and a black case? heh.

Yeah, I'm not too impressed. I want something small and light that'll run WoW okay. I doubt these'd cut it any better than the Sony Vaio TX would. The Vaio TX is much smaller and lighter at that. Not too thrilled about running Windows, but I could deal with it.

I guess it's either a big, expensive MacBook Pro that performs, or a small, expensive Vaio that I can carry around and not think about it. This doesn't even look like an option for me. :(

No thanks. They can keep their $200 paint job, shit GPU, and inexcusable screen glare.

At least the product line shows promise, though. The easily replaceable hard drive is definitely a welcome change.

I saw the macbook and pro side by side today, "glossy" looks better, really does.

They offer this as an option on the MacBook Pro now as well... and it being an option, I'm hard-pressed to believe that there's not something someone's going to like about it. I'm refraining from deciding one way or another until I get to see one in person, though.

I'm sure it looks great at the Apple store.
If someone posts positive impressions of how the screen looks in daylight or some other brightly lit setting, then I may have to eat my words, but until then I remain skeptical.
The dull finish on my LCD tv screen is the only reason I'm able to see the image when the sun is shining through my window. A CRT is completely unusable under those conditions precisely because of the reflective (ie. glossy) nature of the screen. I don't see how a glossy LCD would fair much better.

Close your window.

I have no idea why that glossy shit has caught on... it looks great in the store, until you catch the ridiculous reflection of a flourescent light... bleh.
