High school pranks have maybe gone alittle bit too far

18 people--15 staff members and 3 teachers--became sick after eating the muffins. 17 of them were taken to Presbyterian Hospital.

The employees complained of symptoms that include lightheadedness and dizziness. All but one is expected to be released from the hospital. One person is being held for observation.

Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) has opened an investigation into the possible tampering of the muffins. DCHHS Laboratory received samples of the muffins in question and is presently running tests to rule out food borne pathogens.

There is a video included in that link. This is just a high school prank where some kids put weed inside of some muffins and now its blown way out of proportion, esp with the FBI involved.

High school pranks always get blown way out of preportion.

A friend of mine put a "Now Hiring" sign in front of the school's sign and the administration pitched a hissy fit. So stupid.

Worst we ever had was a wild goose being brought into the school during class hours and let loose in the halls. And something sort of involving my brother and the paintballing of trailer classrooms and a principal's car.

Anyone who can't tell the difference between being stoned and being sick needs to get out more.

This isn't like the "now hiring" sign, or the goose, or those Mario blocks, or whatever: this directly affected the welfare of other people, even if not by what many would consider a major amount. If the kids who did it get busted, they deserve it.

Im not saying they dont deserve it. But, having the FBI involved seems a bit extreme.

Indeed.

The kid deserves to go to jail for this. Even if marijuana was legal.

Jesus christ, it's not like he put acid in those things. You guys need to lighten up. You'll live longer.

Oddly, instead of visiting the hospital with the other "sickened" faculty the arts teacher insisted on posting a cash reward for the recipe....

I think the kid who did it deserves jail. I can only imagine how terrible it would be to get high and not know why. Your heart would start racing and you'd probably think you're having a panic attack.

Definitely not cool.
