But if they're charging that per game then the Metal Slug Anthology nets them $25 for each full collection someone makes, and that's an extra $5 for each one of those that they wouldn't be otherwise getting from people that only own a 360. When you consider that XBLA has no shipping or printing costs and no worries of over/understock, it's basically free money (minus whatever it took to quickly port them to the format).Quote:

Smart: Metal Slug Collection and game double and triple-packs. Also, XBLA. They'll sell if cheap.
SNK will come up with the worst use of the wii controller for metal slug, but they'll probably include a classic control scheme as well.
The whole reason why I started importing games was when I noticed that certain 2D games would take substantially longer to come to the US if they even made it at all.
This was in 1995.
Why anyone should be shocked that 2D games are still mostly shafted for the US in the year 2006 is beyond my comprehension. People who want 2D games get Japanese systems, since that's where they're released, or get the MAME roms. To say there's no US market for Twinkle Star Sprites is a completely fair assessment, as far as I can tell.
Agreed, as long as I can use digital control for MS series, I don't really care about the new Wii control (MS needs absolute perfect control to survive the later later stages.... don't think the motion sensor can really handle that).
And it is too bad that 2D is dead on 360/PS3, or perhaps, just a sorry ass excuse from SNK USA.
You'd think that, wouldn't you?Quote:

The thing with the Virtual Console right now is, at least from what I understood, at least initially is the "Console" part of that name. SNK is looking at their SNES and Genesis stuff, but as for arcade games, they'd need to have a NeoGeo emulator in place.Quote:

I'm sure there's 23,000 college kids in this country alone that could code that emulator over their lunch hour. Shouldn't be too hard for SNK/Nintendo to do themselves.Quote:
