The saddest part about this, I think, is as badly as the schools need the revenue from the lottery, I doubt they'll see much. It'll all go to pay the absurd salary of whoever Char-Meck's next superintendent is.

The state just subtracts whatever its giving the schools from its discretionary funds. For example if the lottery makes $500 million a year for schools, the state will just give the school $500 million less on its budget. So the school doesn't actually see any extra money. It's a fraud.

I dont like lotteries, because of what I said above and the fact that they still try to act like nannies and anti-gambling.
