Some of those scores seem crazy now, but I still like the fact that Gamefan was practically the only videogame magazine to treat games subjectively. Outside of their reviews I think most games generally got very similar marks from publication to publication, and it's the same way today. At least with latter day Gamefan the reviewers had defined tastes and went by that, rather than going down the old checklist.
I know I really loved Sonic Adventure when it came out. Haven't played it in years though.
