An asian man not knowing which monitor to buy is like a mexican asking for help deciding which riding mower is best.

I just got that a few days ago and am extremely happy with it. It has alot of good reviews on newegg. The only stupid thing about is the blue box that comes up when you turn it on or change resolution, but it's a minor detail. Viewsonic is a good brand, I've had one of their monitors before and had no problems with it. I've never heard of AOC so I don't know what their deal is. Newegg has a few 19" widescreens a bit cheaper than this one but they're all from no-name brands so I went with the Viewsonic. All in all it's a very good monitor, I think you'd be pleased.
This one also has way more reviews than the one you linked to, which can't be anything but good.
I'm thinking any widescreen LCD under 400 dollars is probably shit, so I might pick up a cheap one at Best Buy with the service plan. It's like making a credit payment on free in-store credit once it breaks.

That Viewsonic one looks hot though.
Westinghouse? I don't know about that...
Funny you say the Viewsonic looks hot, because I'd say the AOC is the nicer of the two, I've just never heard of that brand. For me the brand loyalty is worth the extra $20, but to each his own...
My dad just got a westinghouse 20" widescreen. It rulz.
IDBTN.
I had an AOC monitor on my 486 computer back in the day. It went about 6 years before it finally went color crazy and died. I don't know their rep, but 6 years for a no-name brand is good enough for me.
I'll check out Best Buy and see if they can beat the AOC. I know they have ViewSonics in-store too, and I've got no beef with paying 50 bucks more not to have to wait for shipping.
It could be good. There are only so many panel makers out there that all the brands pull from. You have to find out who makes the actual panel inside the Westinghouse case. Westinghouse 32"ers get really good reviews actually.Quote:

True, it's not like I'm a monitor expert or anything. One of the reasons I got the ViewSonic was the sheer amount of reviews it had on Newegg. If over 200 people bought it and liked it enough to give it a really good review, then that's a good sign to me. Not that the AOC has bad reviews, but 250 to 8 is a big difference.
