Heh, that's funny. A couple of years ago I sold my modded AES system to buy my toy car, a 84 RX-7. A decision made easier by the fact that I do own a modded X-box. I still have all my Neo Geo games though, need to get another system sometime.

Ebay check and some online retailer pointed to $100 and $189, respectively. Yeah, I'm sure it's possible to get many games at good prices, but the hardware's still a pretty big issue for most who don't just happen to own a Supergun or arcade cabinet. And, of course, at the time the ports came out, they were always much cheaper than whatever the MVS version was going for at the time.

I made a thread about it when it happened - nutshell is a friend of teh family owns an arcade business that puts arcade machines in bars/amusement parks/etc. I told him what I wanted, he said they had it, and tossed out that insane price and I was all "YESPLS"

If it wasn't for the fact that I enjoy having the arcade hardware at home, I'd pick up the ports. But there is something to be said about having arcade cabinets in your house. =D

Mame cabinet with natural arcade output and Happ parts should work pretty well, if all goes right.

I'm already off to a bad start by buying the wrong motherboard from not paying attention, though. =/
