On another potential note, that format distribution could lead to spending maybe an extra dollar or two to also obtain a movie in PSP or iPod or whatever portable devices come along format alongside the full HD version for your TV instead of a seperate purchase. That would make a lot more sense for consumers and corporations alike. (Wasn't there something about Sony packing in UMDs with regular DVDs for a couple bucks more not too long ago?)
Until I see whatever the exact plan they come up with is and how they plan on carrying it out, I'll remain skeptical. It could be a really good idea... or it could be the worst thing to ever hit released media.

Exactly... but, wait. Is that using Apple's DRM? Microsoft's DRM? Am I going to have to install different players for movies from each company, like a Sony app, a Universal app, etc? Am I even going to be able to play those on my computer, or will it be using a set-top box? Whose set-top box? Will my provider support the HD purchases and downloads? Do I get to keep them forever?
