I always thought HD-DVD was gonna be the one.
Sony swung its big cock around and won.
that's the thing though. HD was supposedly cheaper to manufacture, but the prices were the same as the blu ray. They should have passed the savings onto the customer. Instead, they tack on the useless standard DVD version of the movie and charge even more for it. They deserve to lose.
I'm still waiting for that cheap HD Heores S1 by the way.
Most HD DVD release were cheaper than Blu Ray releases, by about $10 at the most. The only time the HD DVD version of a movie was the same price or more expensive was the combo discs, which were retarded, but there weren't that many combo discs. When I happen to glance at HD DVDs in the store these days, most of them are $20 or $25 while most BR are $30 or $35. I supported HD DVD for as long as I could, because I don't want to pay $30 or more for a movie, but seeing the way things went, I didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of movies that I could only watch here. It sucks, and I have no idea why it went this way, but it did.
At Target and Best Buy they were all the same.
I beg to differ. HD DVD movies were usually at least $5 cheaper.
