I may sound nuts, but I still love my stand alone Toshiba HD DVD player. For all the big studios that Blu Ray has had all this time, I just think that HD DVD has released better catalogue titles so far.
Also, I know this comparison has been made before, but I'm still getting flashbacks to the Dreamcast with how this whole HD DVD scenario went down. Both formats lasted about two years, both had quality software that was arguably better than Sony's software, and both were driven out of the market by Sony. I was never as hooked on video games as those two years that the Dreamcast was out, and I've never bought as many movies as I bought since I got an HD DVD player. So, I'm pretty sure I'm going to start collecting HD DVDs in the same manner that I kept collecting Dreamcast games long after its death. I would like to try and buy all the HD DVDs out there now, but I don't think I could stand having "Norbit" sitting on my shelf. LOL.
dude. we get it.
Truth. Truth indeed.
also: Whoever thinks Bluray is going to win is also retarded.
You know the two kids who get picked last in gym class? One of them just eliminated the other in dodgeball. That's all that happened here. The team captains "On Demand" and "Internet Streaming" along with the cool kid "DVD" barely even noticed.
SHITTY STREAMING QUALITY IN 2008 IS A CHOICE!
Why Cheebs is even in any HD threads is beyond my comprehension since he has no interest in anything post 1997.
It's only $30, if you can't wait for a sale. I've bought several of the newer titles for less than $15.
If you really needed to see the movie, at release. www.netflix.com

also, smart people did get it, and stop reading him because his strip is terrible.
