That building is very cool. I have pulled sketchup out a couple times since you last posted anything, so I can imagine how much time that took. That is a cool project, especially if you are going to concentrate on older buildings. I like the idea of making stuff that maybe isn't around anymore.
The blue background REALLY makes your line work pop. Also, tits good.

Did an experiment yesterday. After reading about some of the things Manga studio does, I decided to try my hand at inking with the blob tool in Illustrator CS5. With a little tweaking you can get some nice results. Isn't going to help you much if you really want some custom brushes, but if you already have Illustrator, it is serviceable.
This is a thingy I made up, a cross between a spider and a mantis shrimp or something. Sketched in PS then inked in AI CS5.

This is going to be the basis for a digital piece. I was trying to play up the contrast between how cute crabs are and the fact that they will gladly chow down on your carcass if you end up in the sea. the BG will be underwater, should be fun.
